DLF Phase 3, only vicinity where people can get proper home cooked meals and women are free to walk at late night hours, is known among bachelors for studio apartments. Recent establishment, The Vintage Kitchen is neat and catching a lot of attention due to it's crisp and pocket-friendly menu. Space is the size of a shop with lots of light, decent furniture, a small open-kitchen, a washroom, quirky cutlery and comforting presentation.
I was invited to review the place which is owned by two brothers, Jatin and Atul Mehta, who don't have any hospitality background but still giving their best to create a mark in this industry. Keeping things simple, humbly requesting, I asked them to plate what they're comfortable with. Custard Apple Smoothie and Nutella and Chocolate Shake were served in coolers with Spinach and Feta Parcel, and Baked Potatoes for starters. Custard Apple Smoothie is a complete experience in one sip and each ingredient can be felt individually. Nutella and Chocolate Shake is rich and fulfilling. Lil overfired Spinach and Feta Parcel can be avoided, but hearty Baked Potatoes are delightful. A little spicy Aglio Olio Peperoncino Pasta which they've already mentioned in their menu is a fair bargain in this price, Ratatouille is also spiced up lacking the creaminess a bit, and Veg Pizza needs improvisation too. Fruit Custard in the dessert was less sweet and subtle in taste. To end our meal, Vintage Kitchen has a surprise for us which no other restaurant has and that is Vintage Beat Coffee, rich, creamy and textured in the old classic way, it's a pure delicacy in itself.
The Vintage Kitchen brings a lot to this dull locality but again, keeping the gentry in mind, I'm little skeptical. The presentation and the portion were competing with any other expensive restaurant in Delhi/NCR. The staff is humble and open to taking any sort of feedback. A genuine effort needs a...
Read moreVintage kitchen is a "something for all" kind of one stop food place for birthdays and all special occasions for your people or theme parties. The place is vibrant with chic interiors. Cajun spiced cottage cheese steak: One of the best I've tasted till date. The cajun spice went well with cottage cheese and wasnt overpowering. The steak was marinated well and tasted great with veggies. Over loaded mix sauce pasta:Little spicy for people with medium palate but tasty. They make it with their own unique house made tomato sauce base which tasted yummy when mixed with white sauce. 4.Veg exotica burger with peri peri fries:A very different burger with green buns..had it hours after getting packed but tasted as good as fresh. The ingredients used were of supirior quality and is highly...
Read moreI have ordered as a Takeaway, and got my order very well co-ordinated and before time. I was all smiling looking at the hand-written welcome note and A Complimentary desert note, which was a sweet gesture and thoughtful.
I have ordered Pitta with hummus, which were really grilled well and Hummus was amazingly delicious. Next was their Veg Tacos, which I must say were loaded and saucy. They came with Peri-Peri fries, salsa and a yogurt dip. Salsa was finger licking good. Only thing they can improvise is the packing style, where a paper wrapping of the same would prevent them from getting soggy from hot steam. It was done for Garlic bread and Peri- Peri fries as they came in Paper- bag and they were really crisp.
We also got loaded chicken pasta in mix sauce along with Garlic bread, which were crusty toasted. I enjoyed it with Salsa spread on it and created own Bruchetta.
Overall food was really good and would love to try their other...
