Customer service is very very disgusting. Employees even dont have knowledge of the policies at all or they have but mislead costumers. I have taken a loan but due to some reasons I did not required the loan when the disbursement was done. So I contacted customer care the very first day but no call came from them. I mail complaint addressing head office . The lady Ms. Kamakshi contacted me and instead of telling me that I can visit branch for cancellation asap with no charge. She asked me to wait for 7 working days. And on 7th working day she called me and said I have to pay 5% closure charge plus GST. But the policy says that if customer wants to cancel the loan within the 7 days after the loan was disbursed, customer can visit branch and request for cancellation via letter stating same and no charges would be levied and loan would be cancelled. Instead of telling about this she asked for 7 days. Yesterday with no hopes of cancelling without charge I finally filled form for the same with 5% Charge plus GST i.e 19787 Rs. Today I received a call for Closure verification team they told me about this policy and now as I have contacted customer care on the 1 st day and with mail on 4th day I denied to pay any extra amount other than loan . The team is denying and giving excuse that I have to visit branch for this within 7 days now its late. Even on 6th day I received call from head office She have not awared me with policy. Now this is not at all my fault I have contacted Standard Chartered on call and also on mail within 7 days stating I dont want this money so need cancellation. I will not a single penny extra.
Still the team is not accepting the fault of Ms Kamakshi to whom my complaint was assigned after i sent mail to head office.
This is an unacceptable...
Read moreAfter being a standard chartered bank holder for almost a decade, I decided to apply for a standard chartered credit card so far the experience has been blasphemous, I have an application credit card number for which I have received over a dozen emails for my Vkyc which I have also done over a dozen times but each and every time I get an email back saying my vkyc is partially done and the app has been referred.
After spending almost an hour on the phone with them they told me to please not worry about the process the card has been approved and everything was good to go.
2 days later after waiting for the approval email to come by I receive a call stating my credit card application is on hold I have no idea of what to believe with standard chartered after being with them for almost a decade when this is what I have to deal with, this is absolutely ridiculous. Either tell me a straight answer about where we are at with the new product application or don’t be pestering me with it. It is absolutely ridiculous. I would appreciate getting a call for the app from someone higher up so that I can escalate...
Read moreThe behaviour of the staff of Standard Chartered Bank is not good and neither is the customer service good. My account was closed and no update was done on it due to which 2 of my EMIs became due. When I went to the branch to inquire why this was done, I was told that not only yours but lakhs of accounts were closed. Without any information the salary account was converted into savings and it was said that now you will have to maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 50,000 in it. When I asked for opening an account, I got the reply that my account cannot be opened while I had been using this account for the last 5 years. Standard Chartered Bank is a fraud bank which cheats its customers. I asked who will pay for my bounced EMI because my account was closed without informing me, so they told me to look into my situation. I got a response from the bank that they have sent you automatic messages and emails. In February too I did not receive any mail or message regarding account closure. I'm not satisfied for this...
