Extremely Disappointed with Service and Hygiene at Haldiram

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at Haldiram recently. I placed an order for 2 dosas and 4 idlis with sambar. They informed me the wait time would be around 30 minutes, which I was fine with. However, when I came to collect the food, I found the dosa had been prepared far too early and had gone completely cold.

When I pointed this out, the staff insisted it was still hot — which it clearly wasn’t. After some back and forth, one of them agreed to replace it. But shockingly, I witnessed him take the cold dosa back into the kitchen, handle it with bare, unwashed hands, toss it around, and then simply reheat it — attempting to serve it again as if it were freshly made.

When I confronted them and asked for the manager, they started pleading with me not to escalate the issue and promised to make a new one. Still, I insisted on speaking to the manager and reported the entire situation. I ended up asking for a refund and left the place after wasting nearly an hour — without any food, and close to their closing time.

This kind of unhygienic, careless behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Reheating cold food and serving it as fresh is not only disrespectful but also a serious health hazard. Haldiram should be ashamed of such practices. Customers...

I visited this venue with my friends during Holi fest this March 2025. All though their wasn't any rush or overloaded with customers , their were many vacant sittings available that day but still we were told to wait for an hour or so, since it was festival day may be that incurred that much time for them to prepare our menu but still after reaching the time told they still asked for more 20-30 minutes for our order. Overall it's very spacious , clean and contemporary plus comfortable place to have your meals but it's a heartfelt request to the owners and service providers on being quick enough for future references and orders. Please increase your capacity to provide take aways and wait for sitting one's too. I know their are some problems during festivals but take it as well responsible meal provider. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely poor – the staff was inattentive, and we had to wait far too long for our food. Even after reminding multiple times, no effort was made to improve the service. The attitude of the staff was unprofessional, and it completely spoiled the dining experience. Food may matter, but service is equally important, and this place failed badly on that front. I would not recommend this restaurant unless they seriously improve their service standards.
