Chai Hits Right, But the Buzz Should Stay in the Tea — Not the Air.
May 2, 2025 — it had been raining steadily since midnight. By 6:30 a.m., the roads were already waterlogged, and the school rush was in full swing. Buses lined the streets, splashes hit windshields, and Faridabad’s day had clearly begun.
In the middle of all that, I was chasing just one thing: a warm cup of chai. Despite the flooded roads, I drove straight to Chaayos in Sector 15. This wasn’t just any visit — it was my 328th time at a Chaayos outlet. When a place becomes part of your routine, your expectations naturally grow.
Located in a busy market, the café had its usual cozy vibe. The tea was great — strong, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to match the weather. But the rest of the experience didn’t quite meet the mark this time.
The café was swarming with mosquitoes. Understandable during rainy season, sure — but what bothered me more was the indifference from the staff. A mosquito racket or repellant could’ve easily helped, but no one acted on it, even when asked.
Most food items were out of stock, possibly due to the weather. And while I came mainly for tea, a limited menu does dull the experience. These are small things, but they add up — especially for loyal customers.
Parking in this area is tricky during peak hours, though at this early hour, I had no issue.
I still left with my chai, and that moment of calm I was looking for — but with the hope that this Chaayos outlet gets back to the details that once made it stand out. Because sometimes, it’s the little things that make a...
Read moreThe place in itself is good but the staff is very lazy, unprofessional and pays very little attention to what you're saying. I wish I had all the reviews before visiting this store. I ended up here for a cup of chai around 10am and was told to wait for 5-10 minutes to place an order. Right when I reached the counter to place the order 15 minutes later, he called someone from his mobile and started talking without giving a damn about the customer's time. Another 5 minutes later, he finally took my order and told me it'd take 5-7 minutes. I waited patiently for another 15 minutes after which it became clear they hadn't even started preparing my food/tea. He finally served me around 10:35 and gave me the wrong cup of tea ( I had paid extra for the gur to be added and there was no gur in the chai). It's probably one of the worst experiences I have had in my life, and a total waste of time and money. Would mot recommend to anyone in Fbd. Just...
Read moreChaayos!! I have tried different tea varieties available at Chaayos and as a tea lover I can say that it tastes pathetic. It seems like they make the tea in morning and keep it at boiling temp throughout the day. Also it is overpriced. I understand the expenses on location and decor and staff salary and all that but still you can not justify 100+ rs for a tea that is pathetic in taste. All the hype might get them few customers but I do not see any long term future for...
