Theobroma Bakery and Cake Shop - Sector 15, Faridabad — Restaurant in Haryana

Went in to buy a cake we had chosen earlier. The server/manager Mr. Y. Sharma refused to sell the cake which was on display saying that someone was coming to pick it up. I jokingly told him that we are already here ..why wait for someone who might not come? His reply was not wrong, but the way he said it was extremely rude. He said " tum se phelay ka order hai" .. all he needed to say was that "sorry it's already sold" But his tone was as if he was irritated". My question is - if something is pre booked, shouldn't it be tagged as such or can't it be boxed and kept? I was irked by his rude tone but I started to walk away. My son got upset at this behaviour and confronted the guy to which he suddenly became uncouth and started shouting and even threatening us. I guess such people don't get trained at all and have no idea about customer interactions. All they know is to show their fragile egos and frustrations. Have been customer of Theobroma when they were just a Mumbai brand. Have been buying from this outlet for 4 years.

But today's experience has been really bad.

Got Chocolate & Pineapple pastries from them at 5 PM, both turned out to be stale. Pineapple pastry had a day old date.

Contacted customercare, they ordered replacement and tool the stale pineapple pastry.

Replacement for chocolate pastry was half the size of the pastry normally and Pineapple pastry sent was of again older and tasted bad.

Complained to their CC and now they are asking to take the pastry to the outlet myself to get a replacement.

Theobroma has lost control on their food quality & customer service.

Love this place! Have ordered sandwiches and brownies and pasteries almost 70+ times. The service is excellent. Food taste is always impeccable. They are cool enough to change your order once placed If you call them immediately and the price is same! Infact do call them in case something shows out of stock on food ordering apps. They might have extra stock left. They usually do. Coffee is really nice too. Lovely family friendly ambience. Cool hangout spot. Never too loud. In a great neighborhood. Next to 24x7 Grocery Shop so you can grab a bit and get a drink and shop groceries all at the same time. Definitely worth checking out. Take your friends from Delhi / Elsewhere here. Finally a cool place...
