Theobroma Bakery and Cake Shop - Sector 79, Faridabad — Restaurant in Haryana

I recently purchased two cakes from Theobroma with high expectations, considering their reputation for quality desserts. However, my experience turned out to be quite disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts.

The first cake I bought was their signature chocolate dutch truffle cake. The appearance was inviting, but the taste did not match the visual appeal. The cake was overly sweet to the point that it masked any genuine chocolate flavor. The truffle layers lacked the rich and creamy texture I anticipated, and instead, the cake felt dry and crumbly. It left an unpleasant aftertaste and did not live up to the indulgent experience I was hoping for.

The second cake, a red velvet cake, was equally underwhelming. The texture of the cake itself was alright, but the cream cheese frosting was far from satisfying. It had an artificial tanginess that overpowered the subtle cocoa notes of the cake layers. The frosting also seemed excessively heavy and greasy, making each bite less enjoyable. I couldn't help but wonder if the cakes were made well in advance and had lost their freshness.

Considering the premium price point of Theobroma's products, I expected a much higher level of quality. The taste and texture issues I encountered were disappointing, and I feel like I wasted my money on these cakes. It's possible that I visited the shop on an off day, but regardless, I expected consistently good products from a renowned brand like Theobroma.

While I've heard positive reviews from others, my personal experience has left me hesitant to purchase cakes from Theobroma again. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and work towards improving the quality of their offerings. As for now, I cannot recommend these cakes based on my recent encounter.

Theobroma never disappointed me with all my experience with them in last 4 years. I love their brownies that melts as you take the first bite. My palette is getting used to its and encourages to try something new whenever I walk into their cute outlets. Now, I got more reasons to be around as it has opened up just next door to my residence. Beautiful ambience, cooperative staff and a series of desserts to try. This summer I tried their Mango cheese cake jar which was really amazing but available only for the season. The consistency in their taste quality surprisingly commendable. My favourites are their coconut brownies, mava cake and their red velvet brownies. I am extremely dissatisfied with the bakery's service. I placed an order for a cake at 4:30, as the website mentioned it would be delivered within an hour. However, by 5:30, the cake still hadn't arrived so I called their helpline number. They reassured me that the cake would be delivered by 6, but it didn't arrive until 6:15. I had to call them again and they said the delivery boy would be there in 5-7 minutes, but he never showed up. I called for the third time and received no satisfactory response.
