Haveli Kasauli — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

The place looks attractive and nice from the outside which made us enter. The hall is pretty ok and we ordered some coffee and snacks. That is where the problem started. Coffee and tea were luke warm. When asked to serve hot the waiters and the owner showed arrogance beyond belief and even suggested not to come again if not satisfied. The place was all littered with used napkins, empty water bottles and food pieces on the floor. On pointing out was told that cleaning of floor is done once a day only and were told that nobody had problems except us. The place has a good location but what use if staff and moreover the owner/manager have this type of attitude. Would not recommend the place if you love hygiene and good service and courteous...

Used the restaurant only. Well located, spacious, bright cabin, off the Shimla Kalka Highway, accessible directly while going to Solan-Kalka side. Enough space to park outside. Offers vegetarian snack and food. Average food a bit overpriced but the staff tries hard to serve the best. Pranthas were okay but maggi and dosa was just average. Kulfi was good and much needed as we reached at peak afternoon heat and the place has a cooler and fans like most other eateries. With the summer getting warmer each year. this makes it difficult but their windows have curtains to block direct sun. The rear side balcony gives a nice valley view. Stayed for a night. The room they gave me had a faulty set top box. So they changed the room. The pictures will speak for itself. What was worse were their reluctance to change the sheet. The eventually did change the sheet but that sheet was taken from another room with creases on the sides. The washroom was worse. They did not even check me in. I just told them my name and told them about the online booking and thats it. I was shown to the room. The food was equally bad. And overpriced. The only good thing is the location.
