HPTDC Cafe Lalit Kufri — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

On 18th September we visited the place for lunch and the series of incidents that follow are : Waiting time of an hour Followed by it we are served with the starter which is chilly chicken. The chicken was stale as hell. Since one of us was very hungry so ate it and then after 2 weeks he fell ill with parasitic infection. Just a day before we came back from the hospital after being treated for and admitted for a period of 3 days. Antibiotics still ongoing for 21 days. Series of tests from USG to CT. Acute stomach pain etc. Now coming to the main course which happened to be Himachali thali which I fail to understand how was it even local cuisine as it consisted of roti made of stale smelly flour. None of us could have it. Rice was fine. Kadhi was ok and a stale green curry which we don't know till date what it was.

In a nutshell do not eat in this place and if at all you choose to looking at the enormous size and clean ambience don't have anything other than tea.

Please have something from nearby local stores which might look pretty tiny in front of it but definitely has quicker service and fresh food.

P. S when we said the food was pathetic all they did was gave the bill, collected the money and that's it. Also I puked on myself with the first morsel of food I had because...

If only HP Tourism outlets could learn the art of hospitality!

Overpriced for the kind of food served - basic!

The only aspect worth visiting here is the outdoors with flower plantation and fancy seating.

Visit here during winters when the waiters actually notice you and serve decently owing to loss of business.

We visited the cafe while visiting kufri , the atmosphere of the cafe was beautiful .The cafe is connected with a little park and an ice cream parlour which makes it a little more inclusive and interesting place , i actually ordered ginger tea here and it was a delight . The service person at the cafe is also very polite and the front desk people are also helpful . A must visit ,specially at peak sunlight time to enjoy the raging sun in...
