Mayur Restaurant — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT EVER. This is the WORST restaurant you can ever go to. We went there because our Manali to Delhi bus stopped there at 11pm in the night for a dinner break. The hotel served us stale and cold Aloo Jeera (which is one of the easiest non-fuss vegetables to cook). When we pointed this out to the serving person, he started giving us excuses and reasons - that it was kept in the refrigerator, hence, it was cold. They simply warmed the vegetable and brought it again. The fried rice too was sour and stale. Rotis are made of maida (not atta) and the dal fry too was bad. When we pointed this out and the fact that they charge exorbitant prices for such stale and unhealthy food, the owner too started justifying the same in a rude manner. In the meanwhile, another lady had a showdown with the owner and he was talking to her also in a loud and rude manner. By the time we left the place with all the stale food left-over, the owner started screaming at his employees and started hurling abuses at them. This restaurant is a racket, I am 100% sure that the long distance buses from Manali to Delhi stop here only because they are hand-in-glove and get their cut from the restaurant. Otherwise, there is NO need for the buses to stop at such a filthy place that serves stale food at double / triple the normal prices and that too at 11pm in the night. The bus driver could have easily stopped at Mandi (where the bus arrives at 10pm, an hour earlier) where there are many excellent options for food. They just don't care and are out there to fleece unsuspecting customers. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS...

We have travelled by M/s Zing bus No HR63D3896 Manali to Delhi on 15-01-2022, We would like to share you the worst and bad experience which is happened on at rest stop "Mayur Dhaba" located at National Highway 21, Village Hara Bagh, Sundar Nagar, Himachal Pradesh 175018, bus has stopped at 8.29PM to 9.04PM for the dinner on mentioned place on 15-01-2022, There is a similar Monopoly hotel in the name of M/s Mayur Restaurant and M/s Mayur Dhaba, I have entered in the hotel "M/s Mayur Dhaba" along with my wife and 3 years old kid sited on the table which is located near to the cashier table and ordered the veg noodles from the menu card hotel bearer has provided the two piece of plate and went for order pickup, Meanwhile without any reason those who is sitting in the cash counter (Cashier) told us to move outside the hotel sit and continue our dining, I have asked him that, We have came inside the hotel sit and ordered from your menu card and waiting for the food why should we go out side the hotel for have a food?, he has replied that if you want to continue sit and continue from the outside table otherwise go for other restaurants, We were shocked and come out from the hotel and took a photograph as proff of the hotel and continued our journy with a hungry and depression, cashier of " M/s Mayur Dhaba" who has misbehaved and send out from the hotel and continuing Morden...

This place is a total rip-off riding on an outdated reputation. The food is bland, especially the biryani, which tastes like it was thrown together with zero effort or flavor. It’s nowhere near worth the price they’re charging — way too expensive for such mediocre quality.

The hygiene is flat-out disgusting. Flies buzz around, reused cutlery, and zero regard for cleanliness. It honestly makes you question if anything in the kitchen is safe to eat.

Service? Slow and careless. But the worst part is the owner's rude, arrogant behavior — absolutely no respect for customers. Instead of addressing concerns, he acts like he’s doing you a favor by letting you eat there.

And here's the shady bit — all the private bus operators between Manali and Delhi conveniently “recommend” this place during travel stops. It’s obvious they’re getting a small cut to herd unsuspecting travelers here. It’s nothing but a scam wrapped in the disguise of a legacy restaurant.

Avoid this place at all costs. You're better off grabbing food from a roadside dhaba than wasting...
