The Highness Restaurant — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

PATHETIC PLACE. This restaurant deserves a negative rating. The manager is the worst person I have ever seen in life. He was always shouting and seemed to be disturbed. He was even threatening us. We were a group of 12 people travelling together. We stopped here for lunch. 6 of us decided to not have lunch and have something light like sandwich and omelette. We asked the manager if we can get omelette and he declined. There was another restaurant just opposite to this one. We decided that ok let's go there and he heard us and said ok we don't have but we will prepare for you. There was only one more family besides our group in the restaurant. Still they took one and half hours to prepare the omelette and the sandwich. Whenever we ask why it is taking so much time they only tell us it is just prepared now. It is just coming. Whenever the manager hears us talking or inquiring about it getting late, he comes and talk in a harsh manner as if we are begging him for food and not the customers here. After one and half hours of waiting finally the omelette arrived and it was the most pathetic omelette we have ever eaten. No salt, no vegetables, no spices, nothing in it. When we went to pay the bill, they put Rs 150 for one omelette. We had ordered 6. The most expensive we have ever eaten at a roadside restaurant on a highway. We were all surprised and looked at each other. We asked them politely, seriously this much money for one omelette. They got angry and started abusing us. The person at the counter said because we also put bread in it that's why it's so expensive. We told them to either only serve items on the menu or at least tell the price before taking order for items not on the menu. We said ok we are paying but the overall behaviour and cost is not worth it. We can never come here again. The ever angry manager heard us saying this and he came to us shouting and abusing and threatened us. He said he will beat us and we will not be found anywhere. Just pay the money and get lost from here. He even said they own everything here. All the alcohol shops are their's in Himachal. They are very influential. This whole scenario was life threatening for us. Half the group was of females. Everyone of us was so scared. We immediately paid the money and were going from there but he kept on shouting, abusing, and threatened us and followed us till outside the restaurant.

Definitely I would recommend everyone to just avoid this place as a mentally unstable person is managing it.

Giving 3 stars for food as the other half of the group had main course in the lunch and they were satisfied...

Worst experience ever. We ordered cheese grill sandwich and guess what we got 2 bread piece with cheese in between and it costs 150/-. These people don't even know how to make sandwich and talking about the quality....so poor...i got a hair strand from their sandwich, when i equired what's this ...they suddenly cut the cost of sandwich and said it's okay....bcoz they know very well how its prepared without cleanliness...so please don't ever order something without having a proper look at the dishes. I need to say this we were travelling back to delhi from manali in intercity bus and they have this restaurant for dinner break which ruined my overall experience.....the hotel deserves no rating or negative...

One of the best hotels in and around this area. It's a vegetarian restaurant with hell lot of options in rice variety. The rice was absolutely boiled. Also the ambience in the hotel was too good. The hotel owner is a South Indian from Chennai. We have soup varieties, desserts, roti type, veg pulao and biriyani varieties. The rates are a lot costlier. But if you are thriving to have a South Indian food for days then it is one of the best choices...
