A must try Cakery in Dharamkot especially for the one’s with a sweet tooth. From amazing coffee to baked treats, pancakes, waffles, handmade ice creams, breads and sandwiches, the place is a one stop shop. One could just soak in the beauty and vibe of the place on a hot summer day with an iced tea or curl up in a corner with a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day (their hot chocolate is a must must try).

Besides, it’s pizza day every Saturday at the Cakery. One of the best in town. Their meat loaded and four cheese pizzas are the best. They also serve delicious vegan pizzas.

On our recent family holiday to Dharamsala, we stayed at Gallu, which is close to Dharamkot. We had heard about the Birdhouse Cakery and decided to visit. When I saw the steep climb down, I hesitated and stayed back while the rest of my family members went ahead. However, within minutes, they called me and urged me to join them, warning that I would regret it if I didn't. Oh boy! Let me tell you, the effort was absolutely worth it, and I have no regrets! The cookies, pastries, croissants, shakes, and coffee tasted as if they had just been flown in from France! It felt like love and passion were the main ingredients used in their preparation.
