Family Pizzaria — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

The guy we met today was the worst of human kind. First of any customer coming here needs to walk up some distance uphill in high hopes for a joyfull pizza. A delight for any food enthusiast. Me and my aunt arrived here today with the same hope and excitement. The guy was busy with a customer. While we were wondering where the menu is. Rather than receiving us warmly or even showing us the simplest courtesy to hand us the menu. He insulted my aunt for taking a peek in the kitchen which was just near the counter where he was. This is what he said: " don't look into the kitchen, step away from there and if you want to eat wait or else you can go". We were both shocked at such a treatment. I have no personal grudge against him but what he did today was wrong. Although we saw no wisdom in arguing we felt bad. So we decided to leave there. Our hopes dashed and our pride wounded. Luckily we are smart enuf not to dwell upon such incident. But i assure you that this place has lost itself many customers. I assure you again that "dharamkot has lot more place serving good pizzas". Such treatment is inhuman and disgusting. If i can i wud give -5 stars for their attitude towards customers. If you dont want to experience such incident with ur family. I suggest u avoid such a place. Rest is upto your choice. Below is the picture...

Have been a patron at this place since 2009, back when Dharamkot hadn't got so commercial and with so many eateries around. But I'm absolutely delighted that this place has maintained its authenticity and identity. Needless to mention, the quality of the pizzas and the dough is A-1. Don't go by the casual demeanor of the place and the set-up, the food is excellent. They will also show you the actual clay-oven that they use to bake the pizzas, on request. I'd say it's a must-visit if you're a true foodie and in McLeod Ganj. Although it's a 10 min walk into the village on foot, but...

Pizza was okay. I went on a quiet afternoon so service was alright too.

However: their poor pet puppy dog is evidently trapped in an abusive environment. Was tied up, snarled at a friendly lady as she tried to pet him while leaving, showed signs of food aggression when another playful dog approached...and then after some time the owner came to the puppy dog unprompted, and I watched him threaten to hit him. For no reason, other than seemingly enjoying a power trip. The pupper was obviously traumatised from previous beatings. It was sad to watch.
