Bhuri Bhoj is a fantastic spot for food lovers, especially those who appreciate authentic Bengali flavors at an affordable price. The restaurant has truly mastered the art of crafting flavorful, traditional dishes, and it’s clear that quality is a priority here. Each bite reflects their commitment to delivering an authentic Bengali dining experience without breaking the bank.
One of the highlights of our meal was the Bhetki Paturi. This dish was simply outstanding – fresh bhetki fish, marinated and wrapped in banana leaves, with a subtle mustard flavor that perfectly captures the essence of Bengali cuisine. It’s not too spicy, yet has just the right kick to make you savor every bite. Similarly, their chicken dishes reminded me of homemade comfort food. It’s rare to find restaurant-style chicken that tastes this authentic, without the excess oil or heavy spices typical of many places. Here, it felt like they had genuinely prioritized the home-cooked taste, and it was deliciously satisfying.
However, the charm of the food is somewhat overshadowed by the restaurant’s significant space constraints. The dining area is extremely small, which limits movement and makes it difficult for people to stand comfortably, especially during busy hours. We were ordering for takeaway, but even then, it was a bit chaotic – customers were coming in and out, others were waiting to pick up their orders, and the waitstaff had little room to maneuver as they served those dining in. The congestion can feel overwhelming, and it detracts from what could otherwise be a relaxed, enjoyable experience.
While Bhuri Bhoj’s food alone could attract a steady crowd, the limited space is likely a deterrent for some customers. If they could address this issue, perhaps by finding ways to reorganize or expand the space, they would likely see a boost in business. With more comfortable arrangements, more customers could consider dining in, and even takeaway customers could enjoy a more seamless, less crowded experience.
In summary, Bhuri Bhoj is a hidden gem for its food, but it could reach new heights if it manages to resolve the space issue. If you’re willing to brave a bit of crowding, the food is absolutely worth it – a must-try for anyone seeking genuine Bengali flavors at a...

Read moreOn August 31st, we went to this Bengali restaurant located next to Nabanna. We ordered the items suggested by the famous food vlogger Gypsy Bong after watching his video (I have also mentioned the price next to each item),
Now let's talk about the taste of the food.
There was nothing special to talk about the rice meal, taste of the moong dal was average.
Shilebata Chicken was not good at all. It was the worst of all the items.
Gondhoraj Bhetki had Gondhoraj lemon pieces, 3 pieces of fish in it. The Gondhoraj flavor was very strong, I liked it a lot.
Muro Ghonto was not extraordinary, taste was not that good.
Fish tempura was super hit as a starter item. I really liked eating it with Kasundi. It had 4 pieces.
So you can understand, out of all these items, I recommend only two items, Gondhoraj Bhetki and...
