Prince Hotel is well-known for its grilled chicken, mandi, and biriyani. During my visit, I tried their grilled chicken and Rumali roti. The Rumali roti is incredibly affordable at just ₹10 per piece, and the grilled chicken was flavorful with a variety of masalas. A full portion of grilled chicken, along with a half portion, cost me ₹450, which is quite budget-friendly. The hotel has an underground dine-in area that offers a decent amount of space for seating. However, the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities need improvement. There was only one working pipe for handwashing, and dishwashing soap was placed near the basin, which felt unhygienic. Additionally, the quality of utensils, plates, and glasses could be upgraded to enhance the dining experience. While the staff who took our order was polite and attentive, the behavior of other servers was disappointing. One attendant, in particular, seemed unfriendly and stared at customers, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. On a positive note, their mutton biriyani is excellent, and during Ramadan, they serve Haleem at a much lower price compared to places like Pista House. I would rate Prince Hotel 3 out of 5. With better cleanliness, improved facilities, and more courteous staff, this place has the potential to achieve a perfect score. The food is undoubtedly good, but the overall experience could be significantly enhanced with a few changes. If you’re looking for affordable and tasty grilled chicken or biriyani, Prince Hotel is worth a visit, but be prepared for some shortcomings in service...
Read moreTo come straight to the point, there wasn't a single thing I can praise or at least say was good about the dinner tonight. The worst dinner one can have. I've ordered two biryani with less Masala. To the contrary, it was double Masala. And when I told the waiter about it, he took half the biryani away and got me tad bit of white rice. The chicken was half cooked. I've ordered cold drinks, and instead of 2, I was served 5. (I've ordered a 750ml, the waiter said they don't have it, while leaving I saw the bottles in the fridge.) The behaviour and the service of the waiter I can't say was better than pathetic (And this is not the first time, I've faced this). I've raised it to the management and amazingly it fell on plain deaf ears.
And since I'm here talking about my experience tonight, I'd also like mention that merely a few days ago I was there to take a parcel for my sehri. I was told the biryani would take 5-10 mins to be ready. I got it after 45 mins. Instead of taking it home. I had to eat it right there.
Just because they know their food sells, there's a craze about their name. But when you start with good food and good service and when you make your mark and begin to sell good, it doesn't mean you'd take both away and still sell the same. I don't think it would still be among my first choices for food anymore.
There's no option to rate it a zero star. And if there was, I'd say it was it still too much. I'd seek...
Read moreOne of the few places in Hyderabad which serves good biryani after midnight.
Location: It by itself is a landmark now , ask anybody in mehdipatnam where Prince is and you would get directions easily.
Ambiance: It is a hotel setup, do not expect much on cleanliness or prompt service. No proper family section, huge seating area. Would be congested at all hours of the day.
Food: Beef biryani & Chicken biryani are two of their USP's , open well after 12 , then continue their operations till 3-4am until breakfast items open up. I have had biryani at 2-3am many times till now. Specification of how you like your biryani has to be specified , Spicy , non-spicy , medium n'all.
If you are a beef lover then I would suggest to go in for , Talahua gosh ( beef) which means fried beef, which is given with rumali roti and an imli chutney. It is downright tasty. Boti kebab and sheek kebab - both beef variants are amazing as well.
The place is quite popular with the MNC crowd as we can get food at all hours here.
A noteable mention goes out to Chicken 65 , which is spicy and quite good on...
