I went there recently with some friends and we ordered two portions of chicken Hakka noodles thinking that we should first gauge the quantities before we order to avoid wastage. What ensued has made me decide never to step foot in their restaurant. We went with children and the server/manager decided that two portions of noodles won’t be sufficient. When we suggested bringing the food first so we know how much more to order, he was very rude and said ‘ you are occupying two tables for two portions of noodles? What is someone else walks in and need to dine-in but cannot because of you?’ We reassured him that we will order more food, just not right away since we want to understand the portions they serve. He kept grumbling throughout but when we ended up ordering three more portions of noodles, three portions of fried rice, five portions of starters and two portions of chill chicken, he was happy! You will need to book an ambulance ahead of getting here due to the high salt content. Ensure you book an appointment with your cardiologist before entering the premises because even if you inform them about the high salt content they will raise your BP by arguing as to why this was not informed earlier.

Read moreRen Yi has a typical "Authentic Chinese" ambience (all red, everything). We ordered chopsuey soup, manchow soup, kung Pao chicken, Babycorn Manchurian, Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice and Mixed Non-veg Noodles. Both the soups were decent. The quantity they served is really good, one starter is easily enough for 3-4 people and is worth the price in terms of quantity. The taste however is just okay. Nothing to make you feel good or woo you. It's a good place if you keep your expectations in check. The fried rice and noodles were okay, would definitely recommend ordering a manchurian gravy to amp up the taste of noodles...
