Shree Santosh Family Dhaba — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was not clean, which gave a bad impression. The food was just average — not that much fresh and lacking in taste. Moreover the service was slow and unprofessional. Overall, neither the food, cleanliness, nor service met even basic expectations. I hope they improve their cleanliness & food quality in the future. I had a very disappointing experience at this dhaba. I personally witnessed a boy, who seemed to be working there as both a painter and a waiter, enter the kitchen through a “No Entry” door. He casually took papad from the shelf and went inside, which raised serious concerns about hygiene. Me and my brother have gone inside the AC section of the restaurant. The board said Family section, as me and my brother are family we never thought it would be an issue. Apparently as per the owner and the staff only if there is woman it is family for them and two males can't have lunch inside the AC section and we were asked to move out and have food like tiffin at a tiffin center. We knew the area had good restaurants band we walked out. Such pathetic experience, I would never dare to order to walk-in ever again. Even the place is so unhygienic. I wonder why the FSD ( Food Safety Department) doesn't pay a visit and charge them for uncleanliness. I had a disappointing experience at Dhaba, where I felt treated unfairly, likely because of my religious identity. My friend and I went there because we were hungry, and I was wearing a hijaab. The waiter gave us judgmental looks, which made me uncomfortable. After we finished eating, as I was adjusting my hijaab before leaving, the owner and waiter seemed impatient for us to leave. They turned off the lights and fan, clearly signaling they wanted us to go quickly.

When we provided feedback to the owner (who I assume was sitting at the counter), his response was unsatisfactory. I believe the way I was treated was solely because I am Muslim, which made the experience even more...
