We have visited The Chocolate Room a couple of times now, primarily because the food is good and the overall vibe of the place is inviting. The ambience is cozy and nicely done, making it a great spot for casual outings or dessert cravings. Now let’s talk about the food we tried, one item at a time.
Creamy Chicken Pasta: The quantity of the creamy chicken pasta was quite generous, which is always a plus. Taste-wise, it was decent, though we felt it could have been a bit creamier. The chicken pieces weren’t as soft as expected—something they could work on. It wasn’t exceptional, but still enjoyable and definitely worth a try if you’re into pastas.
Al-Funghi Chicken Pasta: This one had a mixed response. I’ve had similar pasta at a few other cafes, and while this version at The Chocolate Room was better in some ways, the pasta felt slightly undercooked. The overall flavor could have been enhanced a bit. Not a bad dish, but not something I’d go back specifically for.
Tandoori Chicken Sandwich: This was one of the best items we had. The quantity, taste, and preparation were all spot on. The sandwich was packed with flavor and had no complaints whatsoever. A definite recommendation if you’re visiting.
French Fries: Quantity-wise, the fries were good, but the flavor could have been better. It lacked that crisp and seasoning punch that we usually expect from a plate of fries.
Traditional Cheese Fondue: This was my first time trying a cheese fondue, and visually it looked stunning. It came with one cheese dip and four munching items. While the presentation and concept were great, the taste didn’t work for me personally. It might appeal to others, but I didn’t quite enjoy it.
Choco Surprise Bomb: Absolutely loved this! I’ve had similar chocolate bombs at other places, but this one stood out. The melting chocolate reveal, the taste—everything hit the mark. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the experience and flavor make it worth trying.
The Chocolate Room Brownie Sundae: This one was just okay. Nothing particularly memorable. The brownie could have been more fudgy and warm. Decent, but not great.
Final Thoughts: My personal favorites from all the dishes were the Creamy Chicken Pasta, Tandoori Chicken Sandwich, and the Choco Surprise Bomb. However, I did feel that several items were overpriced considering the quantity and overall taste. Either the pricing should be slightly lower, or the portion sizes and quality should be improved to match the value. Nonetheless, it’s still a place worth visiting if you enjoy trying out new desserts and pasta dishes in a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming spot, and it turned out to be a memorable experience filled with delightful flavors and a warm atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the cozy and inviting ambience set the tone for a relaxed evening. The lighting was soft and pleasant, the decor was tasteful, and there was a comforting vibe that made it feel like the perfect place to unwind.
We started with the grilled prawns, and they were nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly charred with just the right amount of seasoning, each bite was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The smoky aroma paired beautifully with the subtle spices, making it an ideal appetizer to kick off the meal.
For the main course, we went with the Italian chicken sizzler, and it was a showstopper. Arriving at the table sizzling hot, the dish was visually impressive and wonderfully aromatic. The chicken was cooked to perfection — juicy on the inside with a beautifully seared outer crust. The Italian seasoning and sauces were rich, slightly tangy, and paired well with the vegetables and sides. Every element of the sizzler was well thought out and worked together harmoniously.
To finish off, we indulged in the milk fondue, which was an unexpected highlight. Creamy, smooth, and just sweet enough, it was the perfect dessert to share. Dipping fresh fruits and bits of cake into the warm, velvety fondue was both fun and indulgent — a fitting end to...
Read moreTCR @ banjara hills has become our new go to place. In the last two months we visited almost 4 times. The food, ambience are very good. The reason for giving 3 star for the service is that there's this one person who tried to cheat us the last two times. We went as a family of 7members. While placing the order we always show from the menu. We ordered Al-fungi pasta from veg selection. Then a chicken sizzler and a chicken pizza. Even when he read the order to confirm also he didn't mention as chicken pasta. But when the pasta was served we saw chicken pieces in it and asked the waiter. The waiter when he asked the person who took the order he put the blame on us that we had ordered chicken pasta. So we thought the mistake was on our part and paid for it. Another instance yesterday was again an additional amount of Rs.49 was added to our bill. We ordered a hot chocolate, Dutch cake milkshake and exotic veg and chickn garlic bread. Then upon asking what is this 49 Rs was for, this man checked with the waiter and gave us another bill deducting that amount. This was the same person who messed up our order last time who printed the bill yesterday. This looks like a trick to get the customer pay more for what they didn't order or ate. The management should definitely...
