‘So The Sky Kitchen’ has a rustic earthy charm that offers a sweet escape from the busy city life. The place has roof top gardens leading to a minimalistic sitting area that overlooks the serene KBR park. With a calm cozy ambiance complimented with great music, this place is bound to set up your mood on a perfect date.We were invited for a blogger’s meet and the food review for the session is as follows: MOCKTAILS: It's rare that I find myself at a restaurant with such creative, non-alcoholic offerings that refreshes you to the core. The ‘Pomegranate Twist’, ‘Midnight Blue’, ‘Orange twist’, ‘Virgin Mojito’ and ‘Apple mojito’ were served chilled and were a ten on ten. STARTERS: The 'Dahi Ke Kabab' had a crispy outer coating with soft melting hung curd inside served alongside mint chutney and pickled onions. The 'Bhatti da Panner' had fresh cottage cheese marinated overnight in a spiced yoghurt mix tandoor to perfection. The Murgh Malai Kebab had complex flavours of pepper, cumin and coriander tossed in rich cream and sprinkled with fresh coriander and glazed in tandoor. The 'Tandoori Jhinga' had bite sized prawns marinated overnight in a chilly, lime and coriander paste, glazed golden in a tandoor and served with Kasundi dip.The 'Murgh Ke Sooley' had boneless chicken pieces marinated in curd, tomato base, cumin and coriander, tandoored and served with mint chutney. The ‘Galauti Kebab’ were melt in the mouth and served on a mini paratha garnished with onion rings and chutney. The Tandoori Broccoli had charred broccoli florets topped with loads of different types of melted cheese and garnished with finely sliced veggies. MAIN COURSE: The 'Bibimbap' is a Korean mixed fried rice or noodles topped with exotic vegetables, oriental greens, chicken, a whole egg flavoured with red chili pepper paste and soy sauce served on a sizzling plate in both vegetarian and non vegetarian versions .The 'Makhani Sizzler' had fragnant jeera rice served with fresh paneer kofta in creamy makhni sauce served alongside deep fried paneer flakes, churra papad and pickled onions. The 'Lababdar Sizzler' also had fragrant jeera rice served with chicken tikka in buttery lababdar sauce served alongside deep fried paneer flakes, masala papad and laccha onions. The Spicy Grilled fish had grilled tilapia fish served with charred vegetables drizzled with olive oil. The 'Dum Biryani' had long grain basmati rice infused in saffron milk and cooked with tender chicken pieces in spices such as cardamom, clove, cinnamon and mace served with raita. The 'Nizami Tarkari Biriyani' was the vegetarian version of the biriyani which contained vegetables. DESSERTS: The 'Dark Chocolate Brownie' had home made gooey chocolate brownie served hot alongside dark and white chocolate sauce. The 'Choco Lava Cake' had a hot molten chocolate core served with vanilla ice cream on the side. Must Have: Midnight Blue, Dahi Ke Kebab, Galauti Kebab,Bibimbap, Lababdar Sizzler and Dark Chocolate Brownie. Ambience:5/5 , Taste:5/5 , Service:5/5 ,Value for Money:5/5

We had the pleasure of experiencing the delightful So The Sky Kitchen, situated in the heart of Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, with a captivating view opposite the lush green KBR Park. With two seating arrangements, indoor and outdoor, this restaurant offers an enchanting experience for food enthusiasts. Upon entering, the indoor ambiance and decor appeared rather ordinary, but as I ascended to the rooftop seating, I found myself immersed in a magical setting. Facing KBR Park, the rooftop dining area provided an unparalleled experience, as the cool evening breeze whispered through the air. The lively plantations and well-thought-out decor added to the overall charm, making outdoor seating with a view of the lush greenery the unique selling point of this establishment. The dim lighting and soothing background music added a touch of romance and tranquility to the atmosphere, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The staff at So The Sky Kitchen were exceptional - attentive, courteous, and well-groomed. Despite our large group, they displayed remarkable patience while taking our orders. The efficiency with which they served us was commendable, but it's worth noting that the service was a bit slow on the Monday evening we visited. The restaurant's menu is an amalgamation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delights, primarily focusing on North Indian cuisine. While their Bhatti da Paneer and Malai Broccoli were mouthwatering, the Manchuria fell short of expectations. The main course, including the Paneer Curry, was decent but not outstanding. However, the Dal Makhni was an absolute highlight - rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. On the other hand, the Biryani and pasta left much to be desired. For dessert, the Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream was a heavenly treat, ending the meal on a high note. The presentation of the food was impeccable, showcasing their attention to detail. The dishes exuded freshness, and the quality of ingredients was evident, promising a delightful dining experience. One of the key highlights of So The Sky Kitchen is the value for money it offers. The pricing is reasonable, making it accessible to a wide range of patrons without compromising on taste and quality. The restaurant maintained a high standard of cleanliness and adhered to strict hygiene practices, creating a pleasant and inviting environment for diners. In conclusion, So The Sky Kitchen is a hidden gem in the bustling city of Hyderabad, offering a magical rooftop experience that complements the delectable North Indian cuisine. While the Italian options might not be their strong suit, the restaurant's attentive staff, impressive presentation, and good value for money make it a worthy destination for food enthusiasts. If you find yourself here, be sure to explore their North Indian menu for a truly enchanting culinary journey.
