Here's a review of ANV Palace Heights based on my experience:
ANV Palace Heights: A Mixed Bag of Ambiance and Service.
ANV Palace Heights presents itself as a fine-dining establishment with a clear emphasis on its "fancy interior." However, a recent lunch visit on July 6th revealed that while the aesthetics might impress, the overall experience, particularly concerning service and culinary offerings, leaves much to be desired. Arriving around 3:30 PM, after the peak lunch rush, the restaurant had numerous empty tables. Despite this, the reviewer and their companion were made to wait five minutes before being seated next to a trolley of used utensils and discarded food plates. This initial seating arrangement was understandably uncomfortable and required two separate requests and another five-minute wait to be relocated, even though many clean, empty tables were visible. This indicates a potential lack of attention to guest comfort and efficient table management, even during non-peak hours. A significant drawback highlighted was the "too slow" service. This directly contradicts the expectations one would have for a fine-dining establishment, where attentive and prompt service is paramount. While the interior design is commendable, the food itself failed to stand out. The reviewer noted "nothing special about the food or taste difference other than any multi cuisine restaurants." This suggests that despite the "fine dining" label, the culinary offerings are on par with standard multi-cuisine eateries, failing to deliver a unique or memorable gastronomic experience. Furthermore, a disappointing aspect was the limited availability of cocktails. The explanation provided – a new bartender – is concerning for a restaurant aiming for a fine-dining experience, as a comprehensive beverage menu and skilled staff are essential. Overall Verdict: ANV Palace Heights seems to be a place where the "fancy interior" is the primary draw. While it might be suitable for "once a while visit" purely for the ambiance, those seeking exceptional service, distinct culinary experiences, or a full bar selection might be left underwhelmed. The slow service, initial seating issues, and uninspiring food indicate that ANV Palace Heights has significant room for improvement to truly live up to its "fine...
Read moreI feel very disappointed for the food served at this amazing restaurant chain today. Palace heights has been my goto place for years, abids location has been my favourite place and considering the location we started going to Banjara Hills. It was good until few months ago until the last time I tried in jan, but today the food was below average, Naans was burnt to black ( they don't even do a scan before serving and we have to tell them and then wait for them to make new ones, biryani and apollo fish was below average, pepper chicken was good, butter chicken pieces were hard and was not like freshly made. I have a feeling the food made today was not fresh. They tried to compensate by offering free scoops of vanilla and chocolate for the kids, we then ordered Tuity fruity which they offered without any jellys and the taste was not like the usual tuity fruity and when asked about it they asked us to file a compliant to ensure next time when we visit these mistakes won't happen, but when asked for today they were like we already made the burnt naans again and compensated for butter chicken but the ice cream was not served as they supposed to and they have no regrets about it. They spoilt 3 out of 6 dishes we ordered today and they justify the 3rd item not being good to fixing the overburnt naans and compensate for the butter chicken curry (which was returned with 90% of chickens pieces in it) is just not fair and talks about the customer service. How can they expect us to be ok if they spoil 3 dishes and just write a complaint to fix for the next time when we visit, why would we visit this place again for the this kind of food and customer service. The AC was not turned ON and when asked about it, they said some customer asked them to turn Off, it was suffocating and I am surprised to hear this. This place has been a total disappointment today and I will not be returning...
Read moreThis place is not a penny worth of your time and money. We went there after reserving a table for a special occasion. We were welcomed well and a table was pre-allotted to us. The waitress allotted to our table tended to us well, by handing out folded napkins and the fancy stuff, but the real ordeal started when we started placing the order. Out comes the captain taking the order not suggesting anything or asking us what we would like to have. So we went straight with what we thought might be good, considering the group this restaurant owns.
We ordered a Veg Manchow soup, Cheese balls, Bhutan chicken in the first round. After sometime, I called the captain and asked if they make their popular dish, 'Snowballs'. He said they do with a smile, but will take time. We said please go ahead and place an order for it. Seeing him smile was also a great treat to the sore eyes as the whole staff was always frowning, don't know why.
After the first round of starters and soup was served, Manchow soup had raw vegetables, Cheese balls were good, so was Bhutan chicken, but snowballs had no salt at all, making it a bland dish with no taste. Let me remind you, this dish is their star which conquered the restaurant space in 80's and 90's
For the main course, we ordered Khandari chicken, Veg fried rice, Roti and Kulcha. The Kulcha again had raw uncooked vegetables, Roti was burnt, Khandari chicken was the biggest disappointment of the evening as it tasted insipid and unlike what their chain serves. Veg fried rice was served cold with raw vegetables.
All in all, a bad investment for a superstar and his family and very bad reputation for a chain that has one of the best restaurant groups in the city and else where. I hope they take notice and make some drastic changes, else this place is going down...
