Darbar veg restaurant — Restaurant in Jabalpur

The food here is very average. Nothing special. We ordered the signature special dishes but to our surprise they were very basic and had nothing "special" about them. Bhindi was one of our order which tasted fully burnt. We also ordered corn which was also not that good in taste. As I said, the food is very basic, if you are looking to have good, tasty food, you might want to avoid this place.

The staff is quite decent (and quite lot in number) but I found one of them to be very rude. It was when we were placing the order and in the middle were talking to each other as well to which the waiter interrupted and said "hogayi baat". I found this very strange and rude considering the ambience of the place. Also, the meal came very very late.

Before leaving, I asked for the review book at the reception to give some suggestion and share my experience to which I was kept waiting for several minutes for the receptionist to find the book. When I was given the book, there was no pen so I asked for it and was given a broken pencil. All this shows that this place isn't really prepared at all for anything. The food, the staff behaviour, the overall preparation, everything adds up to the name of the restaurant. It was our first time at this restaurant and it was a total disappointment. At first glance, I wouldn't (at all) recommend this restaurant wholly for the taste of the food and then for the overall nature of the employees. Surely the interior and space is great but what good are all these when the main purpose i.e., the food...

The ambience is really nice, it's a very big restaurant and very spacious. I really like the entrance and the space of dine in. As the name suggests, it was really giving the feeling of "Darbar". We went for dinner, the food was very tasty. We ordered main course which includes paneer and kaju curries, different types of dals like tadka and fried, jira rice etc. Jira rice was awesome, daal and sabzi tasted good, rotis were well baked and tasted good.The presentation of salad and kaju curry was really nice. Their service was fast and good. I also ordered pineapple raita but did not like it as it didn't taste good. They might have to increase the quality of their curd. So, I'm not putting 5 stars. But, I still recommend to visit there once and who knows you may visit there again and again, as I will definitely visit there more till the time I am in Jabalpur, as I really liked it. 😊 I will try more dishes and may be then I will be able to...

Any restaurant first known for it's delicious dish not for interior, that comes secondary. Inspite of keeping reasonably high price as per the property, veggies used in soup was clearly a poor selection, agree to the same chef has served another soup but with even a poor prepration with same kind of veggies. Sandwich couldn't be grilled well, Veg Kothe even pathetic after 4-5 pieces I had to leave entire bowl full of dish uneaten.

Staff making nice like anything, manager shouting loudly to staff in the middle of the restaurant, Is this experience you wanted to give to visitor to your restaurant????

Informed to manager about all, he simply taken the payment & said come again.
