Happened to visit Akuri twice in 2 consecutive days. Once for an evening tea and snacks with friends and the next day over a lunch with extended family.
I'll include the views of everyone on both occasions in this note.
The Tea and snacks had a mixed review in the friends group. Pro tip: If you are one of those for whom good/ premium tea means tea with a lot of spices - please avoid the House Iranian Tea. It's a very good tea by itself (and half of us enjoyed it) - but the other half were disappointed as it was without any dominating spices. But one thing that we all agreed upon was it was overpriced. We tried limited snacks with tea. The dish Akuri is nothing buy Andaa-Bhurji with Pav and a couple of other things we tried including the Rose Falooda were not too great. What everyone appreciated though was the quality of breads and Pav. The most pleasant surprise came at the end in the form of the Cheesecake - which was awesome.
The lunch next day was more elaborate - the younger lot and kids were given a free hand to order and everyone ordered more than one dish and we were practically able to try almost the entire menu. The presentation of most dishes was impressive. The taste was mixed bag - a few things really good, a few average and a few forgettable.
Suggestions to the management: You need to look at the pricing and the portion size again - and may be your staff or menu can guide on the portion size. Some portions were not good enough even for one person and some were generous enough for two. The ordering becomes a little clumsy. We found a few portions very small to begin with and ordered aggressively for the next course - ended up overeating and leftovers as the later items were big. One common feeling on both occasions was the pricing which was on a...

I recently visited Akuri Cafe in Jaipur and had a mixed experience. The ambiance was different and had potential, but it didn't quite hit the mark. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly good either. The decor felt somewhat unfinished, and the furniture could benefit from some upgrading to make the space more comfortable and inviting.
The vibe of the cafe was neutral, lacking the vibrant energy or cozy warmth that one might hope for. It was neither relaxing nor exciting, just somewhere in between, which left me feeling a bit indifferent about the overall atmosphere.
One of the major drawbacks was the staff. They seemed friendly enough, but they lacked the knowledge and confidence needed to provide good service. When I had questions about the menu, they were unable to give clear answers, which was disappointing and frustrating.
The food at Akuri Cafe was another letdown. The onion rings, in particular, were far from satisfactory; they were greasy and lacked flavor. Other dishes we tried were also below par, missing the mark on taste and presentation. The drinks, unfortunately, didn't fare any better. They were poorly made and left much to be desired in terms of both taste and quality.
Overall, Akuri Cafe has some potential, but it needs significant improvements in several areas. The ambiance could be enhanced with better furnishings, the staff needs more training to be knowledgeable and responsive, and the food and drinks require a complete overhaul to meet even basic expectations. Until these changes are made, I would hesitate to recommend Akuri Cafe for a dining...
Read moreI recently dined at Akuri in Jaipur and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The ambience of the restaurant was lovely with its modern decor and comfortable seating arrangements. The lighting was just right, making the space cozy and intimate without being too dim.
To start, we ordered the onion rings and were not disappointed. They were perfectly crispy and the accompanying chutneys were a nice touch, adding an extra layer of flavor to the dish.
However, the standout dish for me was the khari pizza. It was a unique twist on traditional pizza with a crispy, flaky base that was both delicious and satisfying. I highly recommend trying this dish if you visit Akuri.
The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is great for those who want to enjoy their meal while taking in the sights of Jaipur. Additionally, valet parking is available, making it easy and convenient to visit.
The service at Akuri was also noteworthy, with the staff being attentive and courteous throughout our meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions when we were unsure of what to order.
Overall, my experience at Akuri was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Jaipur. From the delicious food to the lovely ambience and excellent service, it is definitely...
