Bombay House, located above Towncoffee, is a themed cafe service some great Maharashtrian snacks.
The inside vibe is totally old-Bombay, Colaba style parsi cafe lookalike. The outside sitting area is a breezy vibe with a view of the hyped street. The retro soothing bollywood songs get you in the mood for more than just a meal.
FOOD 🔸Vada Pav: quite good, Bombay style with the appropriate masala and chutneys. 🔸Misal Pav: must try if you haven't ever. Also Misal have multiple spice levels, the one served here is moderate which is too spicy for most people. So ask for less spicy beforehand if you want. 🔸Sev Puri: not the perfect, was lacking the right mixture and was more spicy than the expected tangy/sweet serving 🔸Ragda Pattice: quite decent in taste and quantity. Not comparable to the original Thane/MH based Ragda but still a delicious dish to enjoy hot and with succulent ghee/butter. 🔸 Manchurian: Good, you get around 6-8 Manchurian balls. More like a quick snack as there's no curry or rice served.
DRINKS 🔸Bombay House Special Chai: your average cutting chai with moderate ginger and sugar 🔸Banta: the Nimbu flavor tasted alright. the OG banta bottle brought back lots of memories!
MENU: More of snacks and drinks items as reviewed above. Pizza/Pasta/Sandwiches also available. Lots of South Indian dishes for main course, but north indian main-course is limited to 4-5 dishes including Paneer masala, Rajma chawal etc.
Overall a unique place to have a brunch/dinner scene with family or friends.
(No photos to attach as my friends couldn't wait to start. Also the restaurant closes around 11 pm and we had just 10-15 mins to finish...

Read moreread complete feedback Lip smacking mumbaiya street food, beautiful ambience and good service. Bombaye House brings something unique for Jaipurites, where every second restaurant is serving same Punjabi cuisine.
To start with food is very yummy. I have tried Pav Bhaji, Misal Pav, Vada Pav, Banta, Sabudana vada, Sabudana khichdi, Masala Dosa, Daal pakwaan and multiple other dishes in my 4 visits I have made to restaurant so far. It reminds me if my stay in Pune. 5/5 for taste.
Portion size and price are ok.
Ambience is unique. Gives you the feeling of 80's Irani cafe.. Songs selection is great. 5/5 for same.
Now coming to whats wrong & why three stars instead of obvious five. Our last two visits were late in night including a visit on 20th Feb at around 10pm..after great food & decent service, staff started pushing for tip. To our shock, without even explicitly asking for it, he almost started coercing us for same. Given his behavior,I made my mind not to pay tip, but he almost humiliated us for same. Exactly same incident happened on last visit which was again late night, but severity of situation wasn't that much. There are no managers on both occasion to complain to.
Dear management, kindly educate your staff not to chase so aggressively for tips. Instead introduce service charge if you really want us to pay for same, so that we would know...
