EXTREMELY UNHYGIENIC + RUDE STAFF | NEVER RETURNING

This was my second and FINAL visit to The Dorothea Café, and I genuinely wish I had stayed away after my last disappointing experience with their hyped-up (but totally underwhelming) Pistachio Affogato. This time, I visited with friends, hoping for a better experience—but it turned out to be a nightmare.

We ordered three drinks and two dishes, and to our absolute disgust, HAIR was found in three different items: • In the dip of our fries (we only saw it at the end, stuck to the bottom) • On the glass rim of the iced mocha • And inside the sugar syrup of the iced latte

We immediately raised this issue with the staff, but instead of offering a genuine apology or resolving the matter, they started blaming us for sitting outside, as if that justifies hair being embedded in food and drinks. Clearly, the hair was present during prep—not something that just “flew in.” What’s worse is that none of the kitchen staff were wearing hair nets when we initially raised the issue. But the moment we pointed it out, suddenly everyone inside was seen wearing hair nets—a clear sign that hygiene practices are followed only when customers complain. We were arguing with the staff for almost 50 minutes, during which they said multiple times that the “owner will come talk to you.” We waited patiently, but no one showed up. Instead, the staff kept dodging our concerns, talking to different owners on the phone and making a complete fool out of us.

To make matters worse: • They refused to give us a physical bill, possibly to avoid any legal accountability • No apology, no compensation, and absolutely no sense of responsibility shown • We had no option but to leave after being kept waiting endlessly

This place may look “Instagrammable” online, but behind the filters and hype is a café that: • Serves unhygienic food • Treats customers poorly • Has zero quality control or professionalism

Cafe Dorothea is a newly opened cafe that absolutely impressed me in every aspect, be it the service, ambience, interior, or food. The service was exceptional, and I must specifically mention Akheto, who did a fantastic job ensuring we had a seamless experience. He paid attention to every little detail and was very helpful throughout our visit.

The cafe is a visual treat, with a photogenic boho interior that makes it perfect for capturing good pics. Despite having plenty of seating arrangements, the space is utilized so efficiently that it never feels crowded.

We started with beverages, trying the Mango Jalapeño Slush and the Virgin Mojito. The Mango Jalapeño Slush was a surprise, it’s a unique blend of flavors that I highly recommend. For food, we ordered the Italian Corn Cheese Bao and Lasagna Verdure, both of which were fresh and delicious, a satisfying meal.

At the end, we had the Fondant au Chocolate. It took a little longer to arrive, but the wait was worth it. From its stunning presentation to the rich taste, it was a showstopper.

The best part, this cafe is very pocket-friendly. I can't wait to...

I am genuinely sharing my experience at dorothea Visited Dorothea with my family and honestly, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. The food was decent, but the service was extremely poor — the staff was rude, careless, and completely unprofessional. We had to wait endlessly for our order, and even basic requests like water or cutlery were ignored multiple times.

Evng we had not finished our food completely ,they took 30 minutes to serve a single Garlic noon to us and in between the rest food become waste .

Even my kids are left hungry. Thats the worse things happen at Dorothea.

There was no coordination, no sense of hospitality, and absolutely no respect for customers. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable and frustrating instead of relaxing. It’s really disappointing when a place with good food ruins everything with such terrible service and attitude.

I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant family outing. Dorothea seriously needs to improve its staff behavior and management.
