We recently celebrated Diwali with a family gathering at Lala Ji restaurant, and it was an experience worth sharing. With around 25-30 people spanning all age groups, we were initially a bit unsure if everyone would enjoy the traditional menu. But our worries quickly faded away as we saw how thoughtfully the entire event was arranged.
The restaurant’s seating was well-organized, providing ample space and comfort for everyone, from kids to elders. Mr. Satyam Bhargava and his team went above and beyond to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt just right for the festive occasion.
The food at Lala Ji was outstanding and genuinely authentic. We were delighted to learn that they make all their masalas in-house, grinding fresh spices themselves rather than relying on packaged options. The flavors spoke for themselves, especially in dishes like the chole bhature and aloo puri, which were delicious and won everyone’s approval.
The aloo chaat was a crowd-pleaser, and our main course of chole bhature was simply excellent. The dahi aloo tikki and chole tikki appetizers were equally tasty, and the refreshing lemon soda was a nice touch to keep us cool and energized.
Desserts were another highlight. Lala Ji offers options with jaggery for those who prefer a healthier sweet treat, which the elders in our group especially appreciated. The kulfis were exceptional – creamy and perfectly balanced in sweetness.
The restaurant’s accessibility, especially for elders, is a huge plus. Located near the Durgapura railway station, it’s easy to reach with ample parking available.
Overall, we had a wonderful Diwali celebration thanks to the attentive team at Lala Ji. I highly recommend it for family gatherings and look forward to hosting future events there. Hats off to Mr. Bhargava and his team for such a...
Read moreOkay..!! Taste wise it's not great, average is something I would like to give. Apart from this when asked for regular water the person (seems like owner) denied by saying that FSSAI rules are to provide mineral water only. Its not about money, its providing normal water as per the government guidelines which allows to provide free water and it also lower the plastic waste. Well, I think the fake compliances makes this place an empty one. Providing every food on paper plates but than forcing people to drink from plastic water bottles is so hypocrisy. It's a rule by FSSAI only to provide free safe watet to the guest. Restaurants like this are just being hypocrite in all the manner. Just a bad experience. Food is not great and I am writing this review sitting at the restaurant with dissatisfied food...
