Me and my partner contacted the restaurant before visiting the place about till when it'll be open and we can stay to enjoy ourselves. We were told it stays open untill 2 a.m., we were over the moon and thought of visiting it. It was around 11:30 p.m. when we reached there and suddenly two waiters came to let us know that the kitchen is closed we can't order anything heavy as for dinner. Also we can order drinks now only once as the bar will be closing soon too. They offered us to choose between sandwich, pizza, and pasta for dinner. We ordered pasta as we were starving and some drinks, but didn't thought we'd get pre made meal alongwith a stale bread. We didn't complained at the spot as we were already disappointed with all that were happening with us. The main point is they told us to pay before we even took our first bite, well we did. But then I was stunned to see how desperate they were to just leave the place when we didn't even finish our food and touched our drinks. It was just 15-20mins we reached there, and it was not even modnight, they were asking us to pay and leave as they were closing. WOW! This was so unacceptable. We came late and there was an another table who might be sitting there for hours and they were not even disturbed a bit like us. We were sitting at the roof top and they said "sir please if you wanna stay you have to take your own drinks and food plates and sit at the ground floor" we were like wow. Didn't expected such an experience and such rude and unprofessional behaviour from such a nice restaurant. First of all they misguided us about the timing. Made us pay before we had our meals and drinks. Forced us to leave without our foods complete. Asked us to carry our own plates and drinks to the ground floor. What's the point of visiting this restaurant cum bar anyways? If i can't just chill for half and hour with my partner? Might never recommend this to any...

This place has potential.

Beautiful space and lovely terrace/hookah lounge above dining floor, but handling of audio and music needs work. Music is way too loud during dining hours 7-9pm. The highs were piercing with no balancing sub for lows. Lowered volume with rounded out subwoofer would dramatically improve the vibe during dinner. Yelling over music during dinner is unpleasant. I asked server if it was possible to lower volume a bit, but he said that the goal is to get people to get up and dance, which I get, but during dinner? Dining music was mostly 80s western pop/rock. Club music started pumping as dinner was finishing up around 9-9:30pm with an abrupt vibe switch when they decided to power up subwoofers to full blast. Transition in vibes could be smoother in coordination with sound engineer and DJ.

Food and drink were disappointing. Chicken tandoori was okay. Chicken biryani was over-spiced - rice had a chalky mouth-feel due to excess masala. Cocktails could use some focus groups.

Hookah lounge was a very nice experience after dinner, definitely the best overall experience of the venue.

Overall: Serviceable night out if you just want to chill and observe some nightlife. Maybe come here after dinner or just for hookah - the terrace is pleasant and comfortable. DJ was pretty good once the club music got going - played some fun modern house mixes of Bollywood bangers, which had a few groups dancing and really enjoying themselves. For context, I am a tourist and completely ignorant to Jaipur nightlife culture. I think we possibly came on a...

Worst experience ever at Forresta. when the bill came, we asked the staff why they charged a GST of 18%. And they simply called the manager. The manager claimed that they were a ‘luxury’ hotel and as per govt. rules they had every right to charge an 18% GST on the food. When we asked the manager, Mr. Prakash, as to how it was a luxury hotel, the genius had a brilliant reply: “you can see our name, it’s Devraj Luxury Hotels Pvt. Ltd., therefore, we are a luxury hotel. You can see the word luxury hotel written on the bill.”

As per the laws, hotels with a room tariff above Rs. 7,500 can charge an 18% GST. We curiously asked them the room rates. They said that we are sold out for the next few days, so you can come later, when the room is vacant.

When we asked them about the room tarrif/ room rack rate brochures, the manager said that he will go and get them.

He came back empty-handed and said that they ran out of brochures.

The manager, Mr. Prakash was amusingly dumb and couldn’t understand anything. He just continued to blabber that come back in a few days, right now our hotel rooms are all full, and that's why we cannot disclose the rack rate.

After about a 30-min argument, he said that “our other guests are waiting, please pay the bill and leave.”

When we said that we wouldn’t pay the extra taxes, Mr Prakash said, “you don’t have a choice. you shouldn’t have come.”

How is it incorrect for me to ask about the bill if I’m unnecessarily paying extra? 100% I’m never visiting Forresta again, and wouldn’t recommend it to...
