We recently visited the place and entered "The sagar ratna" as the name is very reputed. They served food but forgot cutlery... I asked the waiter thrice and then they gave us the cutlery meanwhile we were waiting for our fellow members who were about to reach and the waiter and the cashier started shouting at us from nowhere.....they wanted us to leave immediately as we had finished our food just then...they wouldn't let us sit for even single minute. This was highly disappointing as you just don't pay for food but also for the ambience and service.... clearly the behaviour and service was pathetic....the food was ok as the sambhar was only water....with no taste.... Pathetic people and pathetic behaviour.....on the top of it the man has guts to shout at me saying "chal chal apna kaam kar...." Felt very bad with the behaviour.... I believe in karma....karma will come back to you...
Read moreJust a Loot on the name of pilgrimage. The taste and quality which is served in sagar ratna outlets is completely lacking here. The taste as well as the quantity which is being offered is very disappointing. The behaviour of the staff is quite unfriendly. The rava masala dosa and chhole bhature had no taste. Paneer dishes are not at all having a good blend of taste. Though this is an onion garlic free place but the basic taste is absent. The place is almost packed in navratri and has very high waiting time. As it is a self service restaurant and in peak times you have to walk on your toes to get your meal. Hygiene and cleanliness is maintained but at last my personal recommendation will be the shrine board operated canteens. If you are not in a position to opt for another option then definitely this place is fit for...

We had our breakfast at this Sagar Ratna outlet after our early morning darshan. While Sagar Ratna has several branches across Delhi, this particular one fell short of expectations. That said, it remains the best choice among the other nearby food outlet options.
Our order included Mysore Masala Dosa (4/5), Mysore Plain Dosa (3/5, very spicy), Plain Dosa (4/5), Idli (5/5), Vada (4/5), Filter Coffee (2/5), and Lassi (2.5/5). The dosas were quite thin, so if you usually have one, you might need two here. The vadas were flavorful, though noticeably smaller than the usual size. Sadly, both the filter coffee and lassi were disappointing.
** No pictures this time, for we were completely exhausted after the climb.
