Worst & Most Humiliating Experience at Greeka, Ranchi
On 14th August, I visited Greeka with a friend, thinking of trying one of the very few places in Ranchi we hadn’t yet explored. The evening started with a power cut — no lights at all, yet the place was still taking entries. We were the second entry of the evening at around 8:15 PM.
We chose a spot on the rooftop, placed our order, and I went to the washroom. Even during my first visit to the washroom, there was no light — I literally had to switch on my phone flashlight and keep it in my shirt pocket just to see where I was aiming.
Soon after, it started drizzling lightly, and the waiter shifted us to another table. Even there, rainwater was hitting our table, and the complimentary peanuts got wet, followed by the food we ordered. Still, we didn’t complain, choosing to cooperate and enjoy our time.
But the real shock came later. After some time, one of the staff members, Gunjan, along with the manager, Suraj, approached us and said, “Please shift to another table; a family is coming here.” This was said publicly, while we were in the middle of our evening — extremely humiliating.
My friend reluctantly agreed to shift, but my mood was completely ruined. I told my friend we’d settle the bill and go somewhere else instead. The manager overheard this and, instead of handling the situation professionally, sarcastically said we could go to “Ruin House, Dhunki, or Loop” if we wanted.
I paid the bill and we proceeded to leave. My friend had already entered the lift when another staff member came running and said, “Sir, your bill hasn’t been cleared yet.” This was after I had already paid — the final cherry on top of an absolutely pathetic experience.
We had gone there to relax and enjoy, but walked out feeling insulted and disrespected. As someone who has visited almost every major bar and restaurant in Ranchi, I can confidently say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had.
If this is their idea of hospitality, then congratulations — they’ve set a new benchmark for how not to treat...
Read moreFood quality was very poor. Had to replace our order twice and let's not talk about the management staff.
Had a really bad experience there. Irony is that they ask for service charge which I gave in full and they don't even allow you to take photographs if you have a normal camera other than your phone. I don't understand the logic in this, capturing photos via Phone or a small camera, Does it really makes any difference? Obviously we came with friends to enjoy the ambience, eat and take photos which you guys didn't allow. I mean why even you guys have opened it, obviously not for the food because I must say it was really bad.
The management people were the worst, rude and had some kind of attitude. Every single person working there thought themselves as the owner of the place. There was NO politeness towards the customer. Other Restaurants/Cafe/Clubs treat customers as their God and you guys should learn to respect and show humility towards others. To be honest the Manager was kind of an uneducated person who was given this job, I don't want to be rude like you guys but to the manager i really want to tell that you should learn some manners and put the attitude in your pocket, We are not serving you, you are serving us and that's your...

I recently visited Greeka Ranchi, a restaurant & bar in the heart of Ranchi, and had a wonderful experience. The food was simply amazing, and I must say, very palatable. I would definitely recommend everyone to try out their Pizza menu, which was simply great! The toppings were fresh, the crust was crispy and the overall taste was just mouth-watering.
The restaurant also had a live band playing, which added to the ambiance of the place. Although I enjoyed the performance, I found it a bit too loud for the front row guests. It could be a bit uncomfortable for those who are not used to such high decibel levels.
The only downside of my experience was the high cost of drinks. The prices of alcoholic beverages were on the higher side, and this may be a deterrent for some customers. Nonetheless, the quality of the drinks was fine and the bartenders were skilled at their craft.
Overall, my experience at Greeka Ranchi was quite pleasant. The food was great, the live music added to the ambiance, and the only downside was the high cost of drinks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal and a...
