Mocha Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Jharkhand

Before I start the detailed review here is a synopsis of it. The restaurant is not of 4.2 rating as the Google reviews suggest. It is well below average in food, ambience & service. Cost of dining will be 1600+ for two . Also a general note check the bill carefully because they add an extra service tax which you don't have to pay. It is non mandatory and you can deny it.

It's not a BAR yet, they are still waiting for permission. They have covered up the word bar from the restaurant name. By the time we went, there rooftop area was full so we were seated downstairs and there front desk was way too rude to be on front desk duty.

We were seated downstairs which was the normal restaurant area. This made it a dull experience as the food and ambience turned out to be mediocre for the amount charged for the food. The seating area where we sat was below average for a restaurant in Lalpur's busiest location.

Coming to the food and service, as stated above, it was between mediocre to bad for what we received. Their menu included variety of things but the quality was not where it is supposed to be. We tried Burmese Khao Suey, Fiery Chicken Wings, Mezze Platter, Malta Mojito and Rasmalai Cheesecake. The food lacked in all departments. The quality was below average, serving size was very less and there was a general lack of substance.

Service was also very slow and the food took a long time. The quickest item you can get are the desserts which are pre-made. Even drink took a bit of time. Service was terrible when it came to serving food. They don't provide extra plates or cups for sharing food. And you have to ask them twice for it. And on top of that they added service fee in the bill.

Malta Mojito had very little mango flavor. It tasted more like a mint cooler. Tzatziki in Mezze Platter was your standard raita which makes one wonder why claim to serve multi cuisine food when it eventually tastes like your regular Indian food. Burmese Khao Suey quantity was so little even for one person. They served cold noodles in a condiment/ ketchup cupa along with other toppings served. 2nd Visit - Celebrated a birthday with a delicious lunch, and we just had to dive into some Indian cuisine! We ordered the Mutton Keema Pao and Chole Kucha, and let me tell you, both dishes were fantastic! But the Mutton Keema stole the show—its flavors and spices were absolutely electrifying! I found myself craving more with every bite, but I managed to rein it in and not overdo it.

1st Visit - Get ready for an absolutely thrilling experience at one of the most incredible Mocha outlets out there! As soon as you step inside, you'll be greeted by a stunning artificial water system that's sure to take your breath away. The place has a modern outlook with both indoor and outdoor seating options, so you can choose to take in the gorgeous surroundings however you please.

And let me tell you about the menu - it's absolutely extensive! We started off with the fiery chicken wings, which were an absolute explosion of flavors. Then we indulged in the Lebanese platter which was simply divine. And to top it all off, we quenched our thirst with some of the most amazing LIIT's and smoothies.

As if that wasn't enough, the weather then took a turn for the better with a refreshing rain shower. It made the atmosphere even more comfortable and enjoyable. We've been to many Mocha outlets before, but this one truly stands out. We can't wait to keep visiting them for more exciting experiences!
