Review of Kalinga Restaurant, Jodhpur (Rajasthan):
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kalinga Restaurant in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted warmly by the staff, and the ambience was inviting and comfortable.
The restaurant's decor had a traditional Rajasthani touch, with beautiful artwork and vibrant colors that added to the overall charm. The seating arrangements were well-spaced, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
Now let's talk about the food. The menu at Kalinga Restaurant offers a wide variety of Rajasthani and North Indian dishes, and each dish I tried was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and rich, showcasing the true essence of Rajasthani cuisine. From the Dal Bati Churma to the Laal Maas, every dish was prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the presentation of the dishes was impressive.
The service at Kalinga Restaurant was top-notch. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were always ready to assist with recommendations and made sure that all our needs were met. The food was served promptly, and the staff was quick to address any requests or queries we had.
Another highlight of my experience was the dessert section. The restaurant offers a delectable range of traditional Rajasthani sweets, such as Ghewar, Malpua, and Rabri, which were absolutely heavenly. They provided a sweet and satisfying end to the meal.
In terms of pricing, Kalinga Restaurant offers great value for money. The portion sizes were generous, and considering the quality and taste of the food, the prices were reasonable.
Overall, I highly recommend Kalinga Restaurant to anyone visiting Jodhpur. The combination of delicious food, warm hospitality, and traditional ambience makes it a must-visit dining destination. Whether you are a local or a tourist, Kalinga Restaurant is sure to leave you with a memorable dining experience that celebrates the rich flavors...
Read moreOK since you asked for it so here it is. Majorly it was because of two reasons. I had been visiting jodhpur for the 2nd time and I was very keen to have the very famous Laal Maas for which after go ogling I found out that your restaurant was quite famous for it, so upon reaching and ordering and having the food. My finger were red cos of the food colour you had been using. Which kind of spoils the taste also. I don't think chemical food colour is what one expects and also very sure that the colour was not available during the days of the kings when this dish was invented. The second thing is your staff, they took a lot of time to even give the menu even after repeated requests for it, then there was delay in taking order I believe all the waiters don't take the order as there was one specific person who was taking every one's orders. Also we had ordered some drinks and we requested the food be bought only after we are done with the drinks but to our surprise it was bought before we could finish the drinks. So here it is hope it's of some help...
Read moreThe ambience -too bright, decor not great looks like a mediocre hotel. Food pretty good, non veg better than veg. Service is pathetic the guy in the white shirt got me the paneer kadai when I said chicken, not attentive, he pour my beer to the brim of the glass, couldn't even pick it up had to ask him to get another glass and pour half in that. Then he poured the rest of the bottle in the other glass and took the bottle. Terrible service ..the people in Gray shirts were better. They made my chicken pieces so large! Also each dish is for 1.5 people so 1 dish is not enough for 2 although price is very expensive.plan to spend 1k per person. Request from next table to add daniya to the dish denied even though they did it for me, seems no daniya in the kitchen ... Really?! If you have another resteraunt in mind I would suggest u choose the other one. Taste is not good enough for the...
