Kamaths Govindashram - Dombivli — Restaurant in undefined

1. Very tiny dine in place.

2. Charges very high, quantity has gone down, quality also has gone down.

3. Kitchen seems to be very very slow. Customers have to wait for long time in case of Dine in and in house delivery takes more than 1.30 hours.

4. Non ac section doesn't have any ventilation. It is very hot and congested.

5. It no longer tastes like "Kamath's Govindashram".. it tastes more like Gujju food..sweet dishes..

My experience:-

We reached restaurant at 8.35pm and we waited for 50mins, we got a corner in air-conditioned area for 3 of us. Without wasting any minute, we ordered for Paneer Tikka Starter, hearing this the waiter said "40mins lagega". Hearing this we immediately asked him to get 3 roti and 1 paneer kadai and 1 masala papad. We were happy to get Masala papad within 5mins, but got disappointed as the papad had already turned sogy, seems it was prepared a little while ago (Not worth paying Rs.70/-). After waiting for another 20 mins the waiter came up with only 2 rotis and bhaji in a small kadai (katori for us). Realising his mistake, he himself took the whole roti plate to kitchen again and came back after 5 mins, till then our bhaji was lying unattended. I must say the bhaji was pathetic. It was only onion tomato paste with simla mirchi and paneer cut in big pieces (so that the katori..i mean..their kadai.. can look filled, and why not..they have to charge Rs.270 for the same). Veg pulav was also tasting like boiled rice. We could only exit the restaurant at 10.50pm ONLY BECAUSE OF SLOW SERVICE.

I will never again recommend...

This was on my checklist for a long time to visit this resto since the tempting Pav Bhaji smell gets wide spread in vicinity. So, I had high expectations with the Pav Bhaji atleast. But unfortunately, I was disheartened after trying their Pav Bhaji. 😔The tomato puree felt uncooked and the masala too wasn't that powerful enough to give that typical pav Bhaji flavor punch in your mouth. However, to prove myself wrong I tried a number of other delicacies too. But no luck!!

The pizza was as hard as it could get. The cheese was saturated. The doses that we tried too were bland with no oil, butter and want well roasted too. The veg manchurian was ok but again could have been much better.

Overall, if you have had the best of the statement items earlier in some other places, then you wouldn't really enjoy the same items here. The staff service too is very slow and dont seem to be welcoming at all!

The only good part here is the ambience. Plus the rates are on a higher side too. Was not a good...

Very very high prices for all items. Most disappointing is thali and it's weird types. They offer maharaja thali , delux thali , executive thali and budget thali. Budget thali has literally nothing and priced ₹249 ! Maharaja thali doesn't even look royal 😂 priced at ₹449 ! Not even ₹200 is worth for this maharaja thali. No curd or fruit salad was given. There is no chapati here .. No variety in faloodas, ice creams like sundae,sunset,golmaal,etc are not there Menu is filled with weird items which most of common people don't even know. Service is not that quick. Waiters appear once in a blue moon.

Taste is okay as compared to other hotels in Dombivli. Area is very small and AC section has only 2 tables with height of the room less than 6 ft ! This is not a big problem anyways.
