Rather than just taking our order, Gaurav took the time to understand our preferences and then excitedly suggested a variety of unique and flavorful dishes. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he introduced us to some hidden gems we wouldn’t have chosen on our own. From a creatively plated appetizer that was both visually stunning and packed with flavor to a fusion-inspired main course that was nothing short of a masterpiece, every recommendation was a hit.

What stood out the most was Gaurav’s passion—he described each dish with such detail and excitement that we couldn’t wait to try them. His friendly and attentive service made us feel like we were on a personalized food journey, discovering bold flavors and innovative twists on classic dishes.

Farzi cafe has definitely become one of my favourite restaurants in kanpur now. Every dish was innovative delicious and thoughtful. We tried the following: Farzi fried chicken: Chicken had a unique marination with ginger, cumin and chilli with an outside crispy coating. The marination added a unique taste which differentiates it from normal fried chicken recipes.

Roast tawa boti: This was rich and flavourful.

Bhatti ka murg: This was delicious!! The sauce was exceptional with a smooth creamy texture and to break the texture there were crispy fried onions!

Tempura fried prawns: The dish was really delicious, it was really a thoughtful and innovative dish. The prawn tempura was just like the authentic one with a creamy creative sauce outside and the idea of lemon chilli air was perfect!!

Ghondhoraj ghee rice with Prawn malai curry: Ghondhoraj ghee rice was really nice and refreshing with well balanced flavours. While the malai curry was rich and creamy.

I recently visited this café and had a mixed experience. The food was decent, and I especially enjoyed the complimentary starter, which was a standout. However, as the café filled up, it became extremely noisy, making it hard for my friend and me to hold a conversation. Another downside was the subtle pressure from the serving staff to keep ordering food. Their prolonged stares were uncomfortable, and it felt like they were rushing us. The cafes purpose should be to provide a relaxed space to enjoy time with friends and family, but unfortunately, this place fell short in that regard.
