For all the hype and the insane amount of social media promotions about a new place popping up, Seezen was a huge letdown. Here is what I mean by that:
We went on a Saturday, a day after their inauguration. Our first impression of the place was disappointing- there was a miscommunication about our reservation. The place was full of people but they all seem to be the owner’s acquaintances than new customers, and they were hogging up the entire place and sometimes even our tables. It felt as though we were gatecrashing someone’s private posh party.
The food was the only saving grace. Their flatbreads are worth trying. Their drinks are average at best. Matcha latte tasted like a watered-down milk - no flavour.
There are a couple other things I found awkward: I’ve been to other places that just opened, and seeking feedback has always been an integral part. No sort of feedback was asked, making me question their commitment to customer satisfaction. The owner/manager was mostly busy greeting their acquaintances than overseeing things (we were there for nearly 90 minutes). Forcing us to scan a qr card for the menu when asked for a physical menu also felt a bit condescending.
I’m not sure if I would visit here again, but I seriously hope they improve...
Read moreSeezen Coffee House, with its prime location in the heart of the city's central park, offers a truly unique and refreshing experience. Stepping inside, the ambiance is nothing short of surreal. The warm, inviting lights and carefully crafted aesthetic create a cozy and intimate setting that feels like a true escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The two-story space with its elegant decor and lush greenery makes it a perfect spot for unwinding and catching up with friends. When it comes to the food, Seezen's offerings are a definite step up from many other local cafes. We tried the pizza, cheese balls, and mac and cheese, and while they were undeniably good and well-prepared, they didn't quite reach an "exceptional" level that would make them stand out as the best I've had. The pizza was a solid choice, but the mac and cheese was a bit underwhelming, keeping the overall food experience from being truly memorable. Nothing was bad, but nothing was outstanding either—it was a solid, enjoyable meal that left me satisfied. Combined with the incredible atmosphere, Seezen is still a must-visit for anyone looking for a great coffee and a beautifully...
Read moreMango Tres Leches? More like Mango Stress Leches.
I’ve eaten some questionable things in life—pani puri from a street vendor, airplane omelets, a cockroach —but nothing prepared me for this culinary betrayal disguised as “Mango Tres Leches.”
Imagine a slice of bored bread that took a wrong turn and ended up face-down in a puddle of not so condensed milk and regret. The “cake” was literally soggy bread—like, someone found a slice of white bread, dunked it in sweet bathwater, and called it dessert. Bold.
And then, surprise! A handful of chopped mango cubes were thrown on top like a last-minute apology. Not fresh, not ripe—just wet and confused, like me after eating this.
The texture? If a sponge and a wet sock had a love child. The taste? Diabetes with a side of mango disappointment.
I’d rather eat a mango scented candle. 0/10 would not recommend unless you’re punishing yourself or need content for your next...
