While the food is great as always there are some very annoying things in this particular branch. On a weekday when we visited the entire place was empty and we wanted to dine beside the glass window for the view. We were denied this telling we had to dine nearer to the buffet area. But eventually in about 20 minutes or so more people came in and then others were allowed to dine where we originally wanted to sit.
Next, all we wanted was a quiet, peaceful dinner - I appreciate the staff checking with whether we were alright with the spice levels once - but unfortunately that day we were continuously asked for feedback on the food throughout the meal.
We don’t eat a lot despite the buffet being unlimited, we didn’t come to overfeed ourselves, like I said we only wanted a peaceful dinner, but despite refusing multiple times, kebabs were being placed on the grill repeatedly. We don’t like wasting food, so had to eat it and skip most of the main course due to this.
After this they started forcing us with an extra bowl of gulab jamoon and moong dal halwa. I understand some guests like the pampering, but the staff should be able to tell which guests like what. You don’t have to force food on the guests when they have strictly told we are done.
One more annoying thing is placing certain items on the grill despite instructing not to and asking multiple times if we want to order a beverage. Also despite telling we didn’t want chat, they promptly got a chat item and pani puri. If you don’t want the guest to eat more from the grill please please please make it limited instead of forcing things we don’t want to take. We anyway didn’t take more than 5 skewers for two of us together.
After this experience we just stopped going here. I even mentioned this in their feedback form, but nobody called and I totally forgot about this. Things might have changed afterwards - this happened about 3 months ago. Hope things have changed after that. Till recently we used to go to the other branch in BM mall, but that’s closed now.
So probably we’ll have to go to Bangalore for barbecue nation I guess - but then in Bangalore there are so many...

My recent visit to Barbeque Nation left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I had made a reservation for a specific time, and despite being just seven minutes late, the response from the staff was poor and unacceptable.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were met with indifference and a complete lack of understanding from the staff. Instead of offering any assistance, they merely called to tell us to come back in 15 minutes, which was already inconvenient considering the distance we had traveled to get there.
To make matters worse, when we returned after 15 minutes as instructed, the staff refused to accommodate us and insisted on rescheduling our reservation for a later time, 3:30 to 6:30. This was a ridiculous and disrespectful way to treat customers who had already made an effort to be punctual.
What baffles me is that we were only seven minutes late, and it's not like the restaurant was fully booked and couldn't accommodate us. The lack of flexibility and empathy displayed by the staff was both unprofessional and disheartening.
Additionally, the suggestion to reschedule for such a broad three-hour window shows a lack of consideration for customers' time and commitments. It was evident that the restaurant prioritised its convenience over its patrons'.
This experience has left me with a negative impression of Barbeque Nation, and I am hesitant to visit the establishment again in the future. It's disappointing to see a restaurant with such potential fall short due to its staff's lack of professionalism and customer-centric approach.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Barbeque Nation based on my recent encounter. The poor response from the staff and the refusal to accommodate a mere seven-minute delay were disheartening and disrespectful. I advise potential customers to consider other dining options that value their patrons' time and provide a more positive and...
Read moreWe recently visited Barbeque Nation at Mysore Nexus Mall and, to be honest, had quite an average experience. While the hospitality and politeness of the staff were commendable, the overall experience felt manipulative and disappointing.
Many of the items listed on the non-veg menu were simply not available, and whenever I tried to order something, the waiter would respond saying “Sir, the menu has changed.” However, when I requested to see the updated menu, they wouldn’t provide it—just briefly showed a few items on the phone. For each order, the waiter would first go check if it was available, and even when it was, he’d serve it only once unless repeatedly asked.
This selective serving style completely defeats the idea of an “unlimited” buffet. Nothing about it felt transparent or true to the concept. None of these limitations were mentioned during booking either.
Even the taste and variety were repetitive, with almost everything tasting the same. The waiting times were unnecessarily long, and overall, the vibe didn’t reflect the lively, generous spirit Barbeque Nation is known for.
It honestly felt like they were doing their best to stretch limited options while giving an illusion of abundance.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on menu transparency, availability, and authenticity, because guests come expecting the signature Barbeque Nation experience — not a restricted or misleading...
