Very disappointed with quality and taste of food at Copper Chimney @ M5 mall . Not at all worth the price they charge for each dishes. They are just fooling customers by brand name. Seeing so many good reviews in Google went there and I was totally disappointed. First of all there is no washroom in the restaurant. They expect customer who are already paying so much price including 10 % service (voluntarily) to go out of the restaurant to the common crowded food court washroom. Which will take you 15 mins for turnaround. Next they will keep mineral water on the table without asking or informing the customer . Later was shocked to see the price of water bottle charged at Rs 155. (Mrp - Rs 125). They expect customer drink to water from Himalaya but there is no hygiene to provide basic requirement to give each customer hand sanitizer / wet tissues to clean there hands. All the dishes ordered for Sunday lunch was not all worth it..Even the roadside eatery will be better in taste. For Non veg Mixed Platter (Chicken,Fish,Mutton) which we ordered the chicken was so hard and tasteless. Rogan Josh was horrible. It had mutton pieces which were small and were so hard not at all fresh. Before ordering also we asked the staff if mutton will be soft but it was still hard and difficult to chew as well. Seems they are using frozen mutton. Even after complaining they replaced it. Quality of pieces were more less same. Mutton Biryani had sufficient pieces.Quality of pieces were little better but it was not at all good in taste. Even laccha paratha was not upto the mark. So overall all the dishes ordered was not upto the mark. They are just cheating the customers. Using the brand name of Copper Chimney since 1972. If this was the quality and taste of food it would have closed long back. We don't mind paying high price if the taste of food served is very good. BTW for each dish we ordered we had staff the if taste will be good. I was told each of them are good in taste. Request Cooper Chimney management to look into this if the chef and cooking staff are still part out of this outlet on that day and other days. Are they rightly trained or they have replaced the chef's without informing the owners. This also needs to bring to notice of franchise owners as well. Awaiting immediate response from Copper Chimney management on quality of chicken / mutton , chefs and experience and why...
Read more🚨 Overcharging Alert at Copper Chimney M5, Electronic City
Today, we visited Copper Chimney M5 in Electronic City and were shocked to be charged ₹155 for a Vedica water bottle that clearly had an MRP of ₹125.
When we raised the issue, the manager casually responded:
“It is like this only in all fine dining restaurants.”
Let me be clear — this is illegal. No one can charge more than the MRP printed on packaged goods, including bottled water. This is clearly against the Legal Metrology Act.
🛑 Don’t just pay the bill blindly. ✅ Always: • Review your bill • Refuse to pay any amount exceeding MRP • Ask to waive service charges if not informed upfront • Stand your ground politely but firmly
It’s truly disappointing that even after charging high prices for food, such big restaurant chains still resort to this kind of petty overcharging. This kind of behaviour from Copper Chimney’s staff was not just wrong — it was outright unprofessional and exploitative.
Be alert. Raise your voice. Consumers...
Read moreLocated near the food court(M5), the place has a nice ambience, though the service does take some time. I went for lunch—it was crowded, but managed to get a seat.
I ordered the Chicken Grill Platter as a starter, which had a good variety of grilled chicken cuts—flavorful and satisfying. The Spice Punch mocktail (a mix of orange, pineapple, nutmeg, and spice) was refreshing with a unique twist.
For mains, tried:
Butter Naan Dum Murg Boti Biryani Kadak Roomali Chili Butter Masala All of them had solid flavors, though the biryani stood out with its rich aroma and well-cooked chicken.
And finally wrapped it up with a Mango Mastani—a dessert drink made with mango chunks and pulp, and it was good.
Overall: Good food and great presentation. Can visit with family and friends. The place gets busy, so service can be a bit slow, but it's worth the wait if you're...
