Master Chef is a well-known brand in Belgaum, though its close neighbor Grand Master Chef often creates confusion about which one is the original. On my visit to Master Chef, I ordered Creamy Chicken, Noodles, Tandoori Roti, and Angara Chicken. The food overall tasted good—the chicken portions were standard, and the flavors were satisfying. The only drawback was that the noodles leaned more Indian than authentic Chinese. The waiter was prompt in taking and delivering orders, which added to the dining experience.
However, the restaurant struggles with cleanliness and hygiene. The handwash area is poorly maintained, to the extent that I’d recommend carrying wet wipes rather than using it. During my visit, there was a power cut, and with no backup facility, I ended up finishing my lunch under my cell phone torchlight. Another off-putting observation was seeing kulchas hanging off a quarter plate, brushing against the counter surface, and then being served to a table—an indication of compromised hygiene practices.
Despite these flaws, the taste was certainly better than Niyaz, which is why I would still recommend it for those seeking authentic Mughal cuisine in Belgaum. We ordered biriyani, chicken china town, chicken sauthe, where as dishes which are exactly different than what been shown in the menu and what been told.
Few of the bad qualities the red colour was so much they put it was not chicken eating experience it's red colour. Taste of chicken dishes were sweet.
Though chicken biriyani was okay to eat but other side dishes were worst. My whole family not happy with quality and food what been served.
The bill totaly been 1200+
I would definitely say not to choose master chief for foodie who loves to eat and healthy..
I will ask other family members also rate the master chief Nehru nagar
