My Punjabi mother would (almost) approve of the food here.
What we ordered - Assorted Pakoras Platter, Parathas (Aloo,Aloo Pyaz, Gobhi, Mooli), Paneer Tikka, Makke ki Roti and Sarson ka Saag, Paneer Tikka Parathzzaa and chai :)
First the Chai - super strong, lots of masala and spices and was a lovely drink in the cool weather. The pakoras were incredible - right amount of crunchiness and the batter was not too thick. Could’ve done much better with the green chutney though - this was very like any other run off the mill fast food restaurant, and had nothing Punjabi about it – which is surprising considering that the other food was pretty well thought through. The Paneer Tikka was pretty neat - one of the better ones I've had in a bit. It had the right amount of masala and the flavour was pretty strong. The paneer was super soft and litelly melted in the mouth - which made it great. High light paratha was the mooli - stunner. The others were great too, but could’ve used a little more filling in the parathas. And the butter was not there on the parathas by default, they served yellow but what I was really hoping for was white (maybe I was being too ambitious!). The Saag was beautiful - had the slight bitterness you’d associate with mustard. Makki ki roti was good - a little thicker and crunchier and it would be like what my mother makes at home. Parathzzaa - was interesting. I wouldn’t say it was great - was missing the flavour that pizza has and lost all the love that paratha has. With very little flavor – this dish was far below average.
Serving size is pretty decent, it’s a tad pricey for the food though. The setup was nice - Very Punjabi highway dhaba music, but good ambience with both outdoor and indoor seating options. Open till later at night, IPC makes for a nice drive with friends. Its located right on the highway though, I imagined it being close to the hills and a tad away from the main road, but then you can’t have it conveniently located and away from the road.
Overall, I’d recommend this to my friends. Worth a visit. Especially if the...
Read moreI always longed for a good paratha breakfast while making a trip to Nandi hills. Indian Paratha Company fulfilled my wish . I was not aware of this restaurant until recently I was in the nearby location during breakfast time and stumbled upon this restaurant.
We ordered all the usual superstar stuffed paranthas like Aloo , Gobi, methi and soya keema paratha. They come with super delicious hari/green chutney and curd . The parathas we so tasty and delectable that we ordered for a second round . Piping hot parathas elevated our appetite. I didn’t even tasted their other offerings like Parathzza, a pizza version of paratha but I am sure they also taste very good. Finally wrapping up the meal with tea served in huge glasses. You should order 1 tea for two persons.
This place is strategically located on the NH7 highway , after the airport and before Nandi cross. I feel its a great place to eat on this road . The food here tastes better than many other restaurants in this area .
They have a washbasin and a washroom . The washroom could have been more clean.
There is ample parking space. You have a service road along the restaurant where you can park your vehicle. But I have heard that this place can be over crowded . They dont take preorder , so you will have to be ina queue to order food and then figure out a free table during peak times.
A must visit uptown NorthIndian dhaba kond of restaurant , if you are on the NH7 highway and craving for...
Read moreGiving two stars because of mismanagement, total mess at payment counter and service of the staffs. Management: We were waiting at the payment counter and two counters were operational. Suddenly, both the persons left the counters and all the people were just left waiting while the queues kept increasing. People were keep coming and going behind the counter but no one was taking payment. Finally only one person came and only one counter was opened. And we were really not happy. But finally we ordered.
Price: As mentioned by others, all the items are overpriced. I don't see value for money.
Service: There are two many staffs one can see roaming in the area but it was totally chaos. Service was not up the mark. We had to ask repeatedly to clean our table. Also had to go to the kitchen for reminding for our orders. The worst part is that they don't provide free drinking water. The only water available is priced bottled water. As per the rules, restaurants have to have both free and paid drinking water.
Taste: Ordered a couple of things. All the items had descent taste. Not too good and not too bad. Nothing important to mention here.
Overall word, if one is coming on weekends,...
