As the name suggests, Lakeview is located by the Bhishma Kere (pond). However, finding this restaurant can be quite a challenge for newcomers. It's tucked away from the main road with no proper signage—especially difficult to locate at night.
Ambience: The ambience was underwhelming. It felt more like a temporary setup with poor lighting. One major discomfort was the presence of flies, which made the dining experience slightly unpleasant.
Food: Lakeview is a pure vegetarian restaurant, and when it comes to food, it stands out among the nearby options. The staff were courteous and attentive, even suggesting their best dishes. The starter – crispy veggies in palak gravy – was a highlight. The paneer was soft, fresh, and flavorful. If you're a pure vegetarian, this place is definitely worth a try.
Other Aspects: Ample car parking is available, which is a plus.
Overall: It was an average experience. If you’re not particular about ambience and are mainly focused on good vegetarian food, Lakeview can be a...
Read moreLake View is speciality North Indian restaurant in Gadag close to new bus stand. Visited this place to celebrate birthday dinner. Definitely a regret!!
My experience, Ordered veg platter and Afghani paneer kabab. Both of them were poorly marinated.
Mocktails are only for namesake. Expected them to be chilled but was served at room temperature!
Soups were felt like made from instant powders. Never ever try sweet corn soup though others you can still gulp.
In the ordered main course subzies, they were no doubt very ordinary. The veg Hyderabadi biryani was nearly intolerable spicy (I mean not chilly hot which I like indeed, but massive garam masala content within it)
As all these were ordered at the beginning, didn't dared to proceed for dessert.
Masala papad and tandoori roti were the only two normal edibles in the dinner courses.
In summary, Food taste is much below average. For the spent money versus satisfaction I would rate Lake View...
Read moreIts a typically a fast serving veg restaurant located near the lake in Gadag. The ambience is good but then they removed all the tables from outside area and so you dont see the lake once you are seated in the dining area. Quite famous and crowded with local family looking for pure veg dining out option because there are no other option in Gadag. But if you are looking for a relaxed dining then this place is not for you as it doesnt have any private area and is basically a hall with lot of noise. The food is a mix of veg options from North and South and everything is prepared too spicy. And I believe it should have a outside area dining option from where the lake is visible and a bar to go with the ambience else every other restaurant near the lake is a unnamed lakeview restaurant with...
