Had one of the worst experiences of my life. Visited this place along with my Wife after hearing about it from a friend. I would like to start by saying that the ambience at the place is wonderful whereas the service and the customer handling skills were pathetic. This is how it all went on:
We reached the place at 8:30. We were made to wait till 9 as they were no tables, was shocked to see that couples table (table for two) was given to a couple of guys (The wait time and the table allotment was alright given that we visited the place on Christmas Eve). Finally, at 9 PM after asking the person managing the visitors we were given a table. We were made to wait till 9 15 after which we had to ask a waiter for menu, which he provided. But after this, we had to wait once again as nobody bothered to take our order and were looking away as and when we were trying to call them. Eventually after waiting till 9 40, we got fed up and I asked the waiter regarding the wait time and that no person was ready to take or order. The waiter instead of talking to us, turned his head and walked away. Furious about this, we walked off and asked the person managing the visitors regarding the rude behaviour. To our surprise, we found out that the couple who were waiting behind us had almost finished their dinner. It was then that we understood why we were being treated such way. We have come to Mysuru for a vacation from Bengaluru and we normally talk in local language (kannada), let it be a small hotel or a 5 star restaurant. The couple behind us were communicating in English and it's unbelievable that we have been treated in such way just because we weren't speaking in English. This is disgusting behaviour from the staff of such a reputed restaurant and how can they judge people based on what they speak or what they wear.
This is very unprofessional and hurts our sentiments. Please think twice before...
Read moreI recently visited Le Olive Garden, Windflower Mysore, and while I had a great dining experience, there were a few areas where the restaurant could improve.
Firstly, the food was absolutely delicious. The menu had a good variety of dishes to choose from and everything we ordered tasted fantastic. The highlight for me was the mushroom risotto, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The pizza and pasta dishes we ordered were also very good. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was reasonably priced.
However, one area where the restaurant fell short was the time it took for our food to arrive. We had to wait quite a while for our order to be prepared and served, which was a bit frustrating. While we appreciated that the food was being freshly prepared, it would have been helpful if the staff had given us an idea of how long it would take to avoid us getting restless.
Another issue was the lack of staff available to attend to our needs. There were only a few waitstaff, which made it difficult for them to provide attentive service. We had to wait for a while to get our drinks refilled and to place our orders. However, the staff that were there were friendly and helpful, and they did their best to make our experience enjoyable.
The restaurant itself has a great ambiance, with an outdoor seating area that overlooks the beautiful Windflower Mysore property. It was a lovely place to sit and enjoy a meal, and we appreciated the peaceful surroundings.
Overall, I would rate Le Olive Garden 4 stars. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the ambiance was lovely. However, the wait times for food and lack of staff could be improved. If you are looking for a relaxed dining experience with great food, I would recommend giving this...
Read moreThe service was horrible. We were a group of 6 people and the waiter came to us only after 15 minutes after we called them. For 6 people he gave us one menu, i guess common sense is not that common here. Once we were ready to order the waiter disappeared. We waited another 10mins just for him to come and take our order. Regarding utensils, there were no knives on the table, i think they expect us to cut the meat with a spoon and fork. When we started ordering we wanted to order 5 fried rice and the waiter said that it would be too much and he said 2 fried rice would be enough. So ordered 2 fried rice and that was barely enough for the 6 of us, so we had to order another pair of naan and breads later on. Obviously that took another 10 mins in between the meal. We ordered butter chicken, kadai chicken and punjabi dhaba chicken with fried rice and later on with some naans. The food was amazing especially the butter chicken. This was the only thing that was worth going to this place. The food is amazing. Kudos to the chef.
Overall even though the food was good, we wouldnt go to this place because of the poor service. There are so many waiters in this place and most of them were just standing looking at their tablets or chit chating between themselves. Usually i am a generous tipper, but not at this place, there was not even one reason that i should leave a tip.
The only thing that we got on time was the bill, that came very fast, also the food is overpriced here. We paid a lot and wasted a lot of time there just for the waiters to come to us.
Wouldn't...
