DIRTY BEDSHEET & CHEAP LINEN ALERT! Room 101. December of 2024 Welcome to Raddison Blu Hotel, the ultimate breeding ground for disappointment and regret! Start with a free upgrade (yay🥳), but don’t get too excited—that’s the peak of your stay. I’m told the suite costs more than Rs 50,000 a night. Well, let me tell you, even if I get paid to stay here, for this level of incompetence and negligence at the hotel: I WOULDN'T!! Let’s begin with the sink faucet—a masterpiece of idiocy. Hot water? Sure, but only after you've grown a beard waiting for it. Then try closing the faucet. TRY IT. I dare you. This knob is so poorly designed it just wouldn't grip. Wet hands? Perfect! Now you're playing slip ‘n slide with this torture device. Next stop: The buffet dinner—or as I like to call it, "The Culinary Cemetery." After a long journey, you'd expect some hot food, right? WRONG. Everything is cold and tasteless, as if it was cooked during the Mughal Era and forgotten. The chutneys and spices are having a group orgy in their containers, and the staff? Completely clueless. Spoons are missing at the counter? No problem! Just use your imagination. It will pour itself in your plate. Ask for butter roti? Get a plain chapati. Complain about it? They throw you a slap of Amul butter. “Here, Do it yourself Sir !” 👏 Bravo, Raddison. Bravo. Ah, desserts. A safe haven, perhaps? HA! Think again. The ice cream is icy, flavorless, and cross-contaminated with every other tub in the counter. Mixed fruit or butterscotch? Who knows! Not the staff, that’s for sure. And dessert spoons? LOL we don't give it you. Apparently, Raddison Blu believes in finger-eating. Wait, it gets better! The staff mixes dirty forks from your neighboring seat into your set. Hygiene? Never heard of it. Raise a concern? Prepare for an icy stare of absolute indifference, oh right my buddy here would know it talk to him. Call the manager? A random staff member shows up pretending to care, only to clean your table. Excuse me?! Are you the manager or my busboy?! Turns out, he’s neither—just a friend dodging my feedback like a professional coward. After calling ANOTHER manager, I still have no clue if my feedback reached anyone who gives a damn. The cherry on top? A 10% discount on the meal. Thanks, but no thanks. I’m not here for discounts; I’m here for BASIC DECENCY. Oh, and the room? Where do I even begin? Flip the bedsheet and discover lovely mystery stains. Planning to stay as a group? Enjoy the cheap extra bed crammed right next to the master bed. Five-star experience? More like five-starred disaster. This was my first-ever five-star booking for my parents, paid for from my first job. Thanks for ruining it, Raddison Blu. If you’re planning to stay here, DON’T. JUST DON’T. Unless, of course, you enjoy paying a fortune for misery. Oh yeah it's not even been 4 hours since I've checked in. I don't have the energy and will just doze off to sleep. Mysore Palace to wake up to should hopefully make me forget this nightmare soon. Update: Morning bath: Tuelrned on the shower, then reached for shower gel. I bet you another 100 bucks if you can open that shampoo & shower gel bottle when your hands are wet. Enter breakfast: Some more mislabeled labels. Dad kept looking for a Cold Coffee found Vanilla Milkshake instead. So just asked the staff to bring us some. They politely got us a glass full. Surprise again, there you go the glass bottom has some murky black white thing. This thing on the server inspection is lemon seeds. Yeah no words! The south Indian breakfast was nice though. The most happy I was during my stay was walking out of the hotel. Very happy I'll never walk in a Raddison again. 😊

An Exceptional Stay — A Benchmark in Hospitality Excellence As someone who has spent over 15 years in the Indian hospitality industry — having begun my career with The Oberoi, Bangalore and later as a Kitchen Management Trainee at The Park Chennai — I hold hotel experiences to very high standards. Our recent stay at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Mysore truly exceeded every expectation and left us with beautiful memories to cherish. Travelling with my wife and kids, who themselves have experienced stays at several 5-star properties, this visit stood apart for its warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality. Though we checked in late around 10 PM due to travel schedules, every touchpoint during our brief stay was impeccable. A special mention and heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sharath from the bell desk — his proactive assistance with our luggage was remarkable, especially considering our car was packed to the brim after shopping from IKEA Bangalore. We had inadvertently left a small bag containing essential medicines in the car. A quick call to the front desk and, within moments, the bag was located and delivered to our room — no small feat given the packed state of our vehicle. That gesture alone spoke volumes about the hotel's commitment to guest care. The breakfast buffet the next morning was an absolute delight. The spread was lavish, thoughtfully curated, and brought back nostalgic memories of my own days setting up buffets during my early career. My children were thrilled, and their excitement was a joy to watch — a testament to the culinary team's effort in creating a memorable dining experience. Our only regret was not being able to spend more time at this beautiful property, having checked out early the next morning. Nevertheless, this short stay has left an indelible mark on us. Radisson Blu Mysore exemplifies what true hospitality feels like — a seamless blend of professionalism and heartfelt service. Highly recommended — and without a doubt, we look forward to returning for a longer, more leisurely stay.

We booked an executive suite with bath. The suite was on the 4th floor close to club lounge . I asked a quiet suite when booking but got assigned a street facing suite which can be noisy at peak hours, but quiet at night as the car traffic slows down. The suite is huge , way too large for a couple. Large living area , one bedroom , 2 toilets , the bathroom has a shower and bath but one sink only which is not adequate for a suite oh that size and category . In addition, it took 5 minutes of water running before it got warm enough to shower which is a waste . Water pressure average with hand shower, normal with head shower. The bathroom overall needs an upgrade. Lighting system is a bit tricky . Reception staff at the Club lounge kind and professional. Check in is fast with all information you may need . Club lounge located in 4th floor is small . The service can be improved. No staff visible before 8:15am on our first morning, coffee machine on maintenance and no hot water at disposal for tea making ! Not acceptable for an hotel of this category. The buffet is small but adequate for us (not being big eaters ). I didn’t understand why you have to ask for sugar and small spoons , these are usually at disposal on each table . Club lounge provides one cocktail only in the evening , wine , classic alcohol, soft drinks, in the evening together with snacks . It was quiet and cozy while we were there but it was low season . We tried twice Mysouth restaurant. First evening was perfect. Count 300 to 500 Inr for dishes of what is considered appetizers and between 460 to 695 Inr for main courses , which is expensive for India but in line with such hotel’s standing. The drinks menu is large including cocktails and wines . Wine starts at Inr2500 for Indian wine bottle. Also the value of our stay was good (for European travelers), we will come back if we visit Mysuru again.

The place is excellent. The food is good and the amenities are fine. However, the service is terrible and leaves a LOT to be desired. Stayed for a week, and every single day, at least one person on buffet duty messed up. Their supervisor, Manglem, blatantly ignored our request for a simple grape juice and serviced the other tables who placed their orders after us. When we brought this up with him, he refused to acknowledge that he forgot. Instead, he behaved like we were overreacting to his mistake. The kind of attitude he displayed was shocking, to say the least.

Meanwhile, stuff we never asked for was brought to our table. This wasn't a one-time occurrence. It happened daily.

Their restaurant, My South, is another sore spot. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that we waited an hour for our food on a lean night, when there was no crowd. The people in the hotel require much better training than they currently have. No amount of amenities and luxury can compensate for disappointing service. The only redeeming quality of the restaurant was their food. The food is amazing and really tasty, however, the lacklustre service brought the entire dining experience down. Ultimately, we couldn't enjoy the wonderful food.

Also, the room my parents were staying in had a lot of power issues. We brought it to their attention, but they never rectified it, despite repeated requests. They might as well have employed robots here instead of the people, because the people in the service department have zero experience or training. I cannot fathom how they've managed to be employed by a chain as big as Radisson. A request to the HR department too: please screen the people you employ and check if they are suited for the job.

How every single person in the buffet team has the memory of a goldfish is beyond me. Nobody remembers any requests.

To anybody who's considering staying here, I ask you to think again. This place is not worth it if you prioritise service. It's a black mark on the Radisson group of hotels. If you go and check the recent reviews, you'll see a LOT of them saying the same thing — that the service is terrible. Looks like Radisson has done some cost-cutting and employed amateurs as managers. Shame, really, that a great name is going to the dogs because of a few...

Radisson Mysore is an outdated hotel with many facilities not working like pool showers, fridge, shower and AC in the rooms. They have bathtub rooms but do not provide any bubble / foam bath.

It’s like a 2 star hotel and full of uneducated, rowdy guests and such hotel staffs too. A hotel guest misbehaved with us and didn’t let us use the common amenities. While that guest was continuously shouting and almost hit me, hotel team did nothing! While the guest was shouting abuses, we refrained from any confrontation with the uncouth guest as we thought the hotel staffs should intervene and take matters in their control- felt completely unsafe in such environment! Hotel staff in ladies washroom and at reception (Bhagya, Lipika) let that uncouth behaviour continue instead of taking a stand. They did nothing to ensure our safety and were just standing there watching this lowly street fight behaviour! On top of that the “self proclaimed” duty manager John is another useless fellow. When we raised this complain to him, he agreed that the other guest was wrong & his team should have resolved it and we should have been able to use the amenities. However, after wasting our time in all these discussions, when it came to accepting their fault and making up for their mistakes, he quickly changed sides and had the audacity to say it was a fight between 2 guests.. what can he do! No formal apologies, no reprimanding the offensive guest, nothing to make this right and safe for us. Worst experience ever! .. They didn’t even care when we decided not to come back to such a filthy place . We felt extremely humiliated , unsafe and shaken by such incident in such a reputed hotel. I am thinking of lodging a police complaint against the hotel for this incident! No customer can be stripped of their dignity due to the negligence & careless behaviour of the rude hotel staffs.

We typically stay with Marriott and ITC hotels and can never imagine such thing happening to us there. Hotel needs to take a stand for what’s right and ensure safety of their guests. That’s basic expectation of a premium hotel. We have never experienced such unprofessional behaviour from staff in other Radisson too. Radisson is running this Mysore hotel as a 2 star shady hotel .. No decent family should ever stay at...
