New Kudla Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Karnataka

The interiors of this restaurant has been designed in a very creative manner, to relate to, and depict the local cultural traditions and practices of Tulunadu, Kudla (Mangaluru is also called as Kudla in Tulu). I had gone one evening with my friends to 'New Kudla'; we ordered some starters and then some roti-dish combination. The ghee roast here is a must try. The aroma of ghee itself makes our mouth water! Although, our ghee roast was roasted a bit too much, it was not bad. The dishes were also good. Although the service cannot be termed great, they didn't make any mistakes as such. But I have to say, this restaurant is a little bit on the expensive side! Still, overall I would give thumbs up to this restaurant. If anyone wants to try our some new hotel in town and sit in a unique ambiance of culture of Tulunadu, they can definitely...

Great Food but terrible service.

The food here is great, no doubt. We had chicken tangdi kabab , squid ghee roast and masala fish fry. All of them were fresh and tasty.

The ambience is pretty good as well. it's very spacious and air conditioned too.

We ordered other food as well and they forgot about it and we found out after waiting for about 20 mins. When we asked for an update, without even checking, they just say "it's coming". From the start, they were more interested in watching TV than actually taking the order. Their behaviour is rude and just plain arrogant.

The service spoils the whole experience. There are many other places in udupi that give similar quality of food but with supiror service.

I don't think i would be coming back here again,...

The restaurant is a recently opened branch of a well known Kudla restaurant, which has been in Mangalore City for a long time. The restaurant is located on the first floor. There is no dedicated parking near the restaurant and also the roads are narrow, however, the area is not much crowded. The ambiance and decor of the place is plush. We visited the restaurant twice on two consecutive evenings. The restaurant was not full but had decent number of customers. The restaurant staff were smartly dressed and service was reasonably good. The food was good, but there are better options available in Mangalore. The food was bit pricey. We mostly tried Sea Food and typical Mangalorian Non Veg dishes. Overall, good new option...
