Don't believe in all good reviews.
But having a pretty looking infrastructure doesn't make a good hotel. Services are poor and chaotic - not worthy of charges that u pay. Around 5k room/day
Pros - Newly built hotel. Rooms similar to any 4 Star hotel. The restaurant staff was nice, courteous and felt that they need some rest. Food was tasty.
Cons - Nothing like sea view as name suggests. All u can see is neighboring apartments.
There is no room handover checklist - so when room was given to me - many items were missing.. TV Remotes, STB remotes. menu cards. Wifi was not activated - had to spend at least 3-4 hours and multiple calls to get the things in order. Management hired untrained staff - who doesn't know any hotel etiquettes. Cleaning is not at all worthy of the charges that we are paying. Even if I kept the clean room sign on and instructed the same thrice verbally - it was not cleaned. I had to call multiple times and wait in the evening to get room cleaned. Cleaning staff kept fumbling. Reason was given that morning ladies staff which is trained in cleaning - forgot to clean my room and evening male staff is not trained in cleaning. Even morning cleaning ladies are not trained well - no proper brooming and mopping.
Room corridor AC was not on.. So be prepared to feel dusty smelling hot air as soon as you exit the room.
Room service staff was not trained on how to load luggage on trolley - kept dropping the bags. I had to give them a crash course.
The so called top floor infinity pool was not clean. I could see banana peels here and there nearby pool.
There are 2 smooth talking ladies on desk in morning and male manager in the night. If something goes wrong in night - then u have to keep reminding the about ur issues a lot of times to the night manager. One lady think that her sugary talk is solution to all problems. She said sorry for inconveniences while laughing. I could sense that her Apologies meant nothing. If the hotel would like to prosper - the ladies need to be replaced or the ladies need to change their attitude.
The hotel management scaled the offerings without proper training of staff and proper arrangements. I saw that they even allowed to smoke a customer in 1st floor restaurant. I don't think it will go well with families who would like to spend a...
Read moreI am just wondering why these people are charging whopping INR 4000 - IN6000 per room in Sea view Hotel.!! They need to justify their cost to customers - Instead of looting.!
I would have not written any review spending my valuable time on this Hotel if they would have charged max INR 2500 per night. The prospective customers, who want to make reservation should know the true colors before booking - Hence writing below points.
Just for comparison: They are charging 5 star rate INR 6000 - which is more than even TAj Vivanta Price in Mangalore.
Below are the few points which I came across: few might looks silly and small - however when they charge premium price - we can expect premium service without any flows.!
First and foremost; The name of the Hotel it self is wrong :) - It should have been City view - rather than Sea View.. Haha.! There is no sea near, at least in 10Km Radius. Don't book this stay seeing their roof top infinity pool - thinking this would justify the price - There is a pool - But no water. haha.! They give the reason saying, its under maintenance. They should mention that while booking and remove the pics of pool and dont make fool. Be ready to carry your Luggage by your own - As there is no one to help you in there. Be careful while entering and Exiting basement parking - As there is only one way to enter and exit with fully blind spots - and they don't have valet parking. No Wifi Password will be provided on check-In - You need to call and ask for that and Be ready to write it down when they tell. No matter, how many people are checking in - they will just keep one set of toiletries. Don't expect staff to be on Uniform - Make your own guess that "Ohh!! this person must be a employee here" Don't fall for Complementary breakfast - This will become compulsory break fast when you have already paid good lot of money and have it even if you don't like. its a Zero Rated food - Please step out and look around will get very good option for food in Mangalore.
By Paying half a price of this, You can find amazing place to stay in Mangalore with all above points covered.
Note: Google Review must be a combined review with veg restaurant in basement (Just a guess - I have not tried any food there) - Otherwise there is no way this stay will...
Read moreDinki Dine Veg Restaurant has always held a special place in my heart, as it has been a part of my childhood memories. I fondly recall savoring their gobi manchurian and grape juice, which were absolute standouts back then. The food had a unique charm that made each visit a delightful experience. However, my recent visit left me deeply disappointed, as the quality and taste of their dishes seem to have taken a significant downturn.
The gobi manchurian, which was once my favorite, was the biggest letdown. It lacked the crispiness and flavor it used to have, and the dish tasted bland due to insufficient salt and seasoning. It felt like a shadow of its former self, and I couldn’t give it more than a 2/10. Following this disappointment, I tried their dahi puri, which was equally uninspiring. The dish was dry, lacked the creamy tanginess one expects, and left no impression — another 2/10.
The sev puri fared no better. The restaurant used flat puris, which threw off the balance of textures and flavors. The entire dish felt off, as though it was hastily put together without attention to detail. Lastly, I tried their gudbud, a dessert I had hoped would redeem the experience. While it was passable and certainly better than the rest of the items, it was still only average at best, earning a 6/10.
It’s disheartening to see a place that was once synonymous with good food lose its charm. Dinki Dine used to be a haven for comforting, flavorful vegetarian dishes, but my recent experience makes it hard to recommend. I truly hope the management works on bringing back the quality and consistency that made this place special in the first place. Until then, it’s hard to see...
