We reached the place with high expectations based on reviews. But was extremely disappointed with the service. We ordered several dishes and were sitting outdoors as the place was full inside. Our mocktails reached us after a bit, but the food did not arrive for quite some time. I was getting bitten by mosquitoes so my husband went in to check with the lady on how much time our food would take. She said she will check and went into the kitchen. Didn't come out for a while and when we saw her come out again, he asked again. She wasn't responding clearly and went into the kitchen again. After coming out, she asked him if she can cancel the order. It was all very odd and quite rude, honestly. Almost seemed like she was trying to avoid him. This was around an hour before their closing time, so just imagine our disappointment. And even if it was the case that they ran out of ingredients for our dishes, why not just inform us? Moreover, the attitude on being asked... I do not care even if the best food in the country is served here, if this is how customers are treated by the person in charge, it's definitely not worth looking at again. The person who served us drinks (a boy) seemed apologetic, but the lady at the counter was as explained. All the best to everyone else who plans to...

Just as we were out of the Namdroling Monastery, we walked through the roads leading up to the Tibetan Restaurants. I am sure there are plenty of Tibetan restaurants, but we asked a couple of monks which restaurant they would prefer, and they mentioned we visit the Peace Restaurant.

The place is, as the name suggests, peaceful. We sat in the open area, which was calm and well-maintained. We indeed followed the recommendations from the Peace Restaurant waiter and ordered a couple of dishes.

Immediately, the stand-out was the Pork Chilli Ribs Spare Part, which was incredibly delicious. Of course, I could not find any difference between chicken momos and beef momos. We were so hungry that I couldn't capture the photos.

The beef chilli was spicy and tasty, and was wanting for more. The beef chilli noodles were delightful and spicy; I loved them the most. Overall, we had a satisfying lunch, unbelievable fulfilment and nourishment at the Peace restaurant.

As the same suggests, I was in peace for the rest of the...
