Sarovar Royalee — Restaurant in Karnataka

We visited this hotel in Davanagere recently and would like to break this review into primarily ambience, hospitality and food part for doing justice to over all review.

Ambience is decent enough to any standard restaurants with air conditioning and comfortable seating. Place is quite clean enough and has restrooms.

Hospitality is bit of a hit and miss, the person waiting on us insisted on ordering what he suggested than us ordering what we wish. He was super busy, everything on the floor had to pass through him, we had to keep waiting for his attention for anything, even wait significantly for getting a bill. The whole ordering process and waiting for good to come was so pathetic and very long, that we lost fun in all the evening plans. In fact we did not even have main course and just requested for bill so we could eat elsewhere.

Food turned out to be quite average as opposed to what was present in glowing reviews. Vegetarian part was far better than chicken based dishes. Best part was fish and Baby corn based dishes. But what stuck to us that bases for all dishes was same- so in effect whatever dish we are eating, they all tasted same which was huge let down.

There is usually good enough car and bike parking available.

Dr arunkumar - - Very bad experience here,,,only out looks, d utensils used r good,, coming to d food u have to wait for a little longer time, and taste is average, cost is high compared to other best hotels of davangere....bad experience was yesterday when v ordered veg fried rice d appearance was good but d rice used was of mostly of day before, it was not fresh, v could notice that smell also... Thoooooo,, when v asked d waiter to clarify he behaved rudely n said that was d taste of soses used in that...idiot, don't v know d taste of a rice which was older n not fresh one,, v left those dishes there only n came back...so guys plz plz don't go there,, i agree many of others may not experienced such things bt i did...v had a good service n dishes in other restaurants in davangere like Pooja kointernational(pb road, near court), raj bhavan(pb road, opposite Pooja international), panchami(pb road, near trishool theatre), apporva restaurant (near anagodu, highway,, Banglore road) etc...road side dishes r way better than sarovara...only u can enjoy there is some fishes in d aquarium.. Waiters r useless n not convincing.. Even that don't...

It's only place bit better but again getting back as any ordinary one...So for improvement side they need to work .. focussing on: a. Detailed order taking..(ex- better electronic entry) b. Estimated time to be told, not after, c. Small portion of commonly/locally/traditionally ordered to be included in menu..(ex- curd, raitha, butter milk, tea/coffee..) , d. By default Water should be on table with out asking/ or asked to replace with bottled water. (Generally you should give confidence that what water you use is drinkable). e. Tips is not to be expected, it should be overwhelmed to offer...(it shouldn't look or feel that they (door man/parking man/server/cleaner) are begging☺️. f. Feed back given or taken must respond with thanking note via email/ post card/text message/What'sapp/any..as per customer's consent/choice.. and MUST ALSO INTIMATE WHAT ACTIONS TAKEN TO RESOLVE OR FOLLOWED THAT NOTED FROM FEEDBACK...WITH A COUPON CODE TO INVITE OR SEND OTHER CUSTOMERS TO HAVE A SMALL TOKEN OF APPRECTION FROM HOTEL MANAGEMENT..A CHANCE TO FIND THAT YOU ARE NOT THE SAME IN THE CROWD.
