Bad but one of the few places in the town of Belur to stay. We had to stay here for two nights and those were the worst nights which we had.
Pros: Near to the temple. They take bookings over phone without asking for any online transfer of advance. Reasonable priced. - But after seeing the cons, this point may become a Con. I asked over phone "should I bring my own rug?" - Prompt answer came from hotel "better if you bring"....!! God..!!! I should have cancelled the hotel then and there itself. (This point is in Pros only because of the prompt answer from hotel) There could be other better places in Belur to stay...!!!
Cons: No reception service after 11pm...!! - we reached hotel at night 12 and literally had to bang on the rolling shutter to wake the security. Very untidy and dirty rooms. - Better you carry a pair of chappals for wearing in the room. We Dirty and smelling toilets. - Carry a bottle of dettol/phenyl. Unfortunately we did not carry and had to purchase one. Smelling bed and bed sheets. - We normally carry our own bed sheet and rugs when we travel in our car. So we did not face the entire effect of it. But yes.. it smells. Chair and a tepoy with ample amount of dust on it. - Better don't use it. No room cleaning service. - We asked for cleaning. Nothing happened... They said it is cleaned, we don't know who cleaned what, as everything was still dirty. They give hot water only in the morning 5 to 8. - We asked for some hot water for our one and half year old baby, as it was pretty cold weather... but hot water never came... they kept on telling keep the tap on... we kept the tap on... still waiting for hot water...:D!!! No restaurant - there is a restaurant below the hotel which is below average and may want to go there only if you are in very much urgency.
Book a room here at your risk. Cleanliness is fuzzy logic, what is dirty for me may be clean enough for another. as hotel said they have clean rooms.
Edit: Cons No parking space. You have to park your vehicle on the road in front of the hotel. Though no damage was caused to the car, we could actually see someone had put their unwanted AUTOGRAPH on the dust on...

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Not enough parking space. There are only 4 or 5 spaces in front of the hotel where you can park if you get lucky. We stayed in a non-AC double room since AC room was not available. The room was very stuffy. The bathroom was not clean. The flush had to be pressed continuously for at least 30s to flush properly, the shower was broken, drain cover missing, telephone connection broken. Parking: Parked at belur temple as space availability was a constrain Its just around 400 mts away from the temple premises
Ambience: nothing to vibe about
Seating: Can seat 30-40 at a time
Menu: South & north Indian Available
Wait Time: Reasonable
Food: Taste was somewhat ok, no complain about it.
Value: Felt bit Overpriced.
Cleanliness: No washroom Just a sink to wash your hands
