Zoey's: Good Vibes Only — Restaurant in Karnataka

Updated review: As all can see how my review wasfor Zoey but it shattered. So I went with 22pax for dinner on Saturday eve. I called Zoey Sarjapur n checked with them, they told me under 25 people no reservation needed. Pls walk-in. I had informed them that I have 17kids with me(12-15yrs old). They told me that's ok no problem. we reached there @8pm, we were 22pax. No service person was there to serve for next 30mins. I had to go to there reception twice coz kids were hungry since we were coming from go karting. We ordered 6pizzas in one go, it will take some time so we had ordered other dishes including 3 mac n cheese n pink pasta. All pasta dishes were shared by the kids while pizzas are coming, one the max n cheese plate has approx. 2-3inches long hair, so we called the chef n while we were discussing this.. another mac n cheese n pink pasta also had hair approx 1inches long. Chef saw this n I had asked kids to stop eating. By the time pizzas are served. plates were cleared. Dinner done. I wanted to meet the manager as it had never happened n somehow I have been going to Zoey's since it's 3rd day of opening. My daughter's name is also Zoey with the same spelling, she feels special going there, our intention wasto talk to the manager n raise our concerns about initial service delay n hair part. This guy name 'Lokesh' came with full charge n super rude to start the talk with. He didnt listen to any concern n almost in every other sentence it's not my restaurant so not my responsibility to care about its image. I was trying to tell him that we love zoey's then he flaunted that he is not charging 4plates of mac n cheese which we had ordered(I had ordered 3plates). It was very shocking n unprofessional. Since I had spent good 20yrs in hospitality never saw this kind behaviour. My husband just mentioned that it won't look good in review, then again he said pls write whatever you want n let me tell you my name n don't care as it's not my restaurant. Well! For us it's end of the relationship. Take care Zoey's: not so good vibes!

Update : Jan 2025 Reducing rating based on the updated experience. We visited Zoeys on 1 Jan 2025. We were first surprised by the cold attitude shown by the staff and we were sternly told to order via the QR code and not via menu. We proceeded to order via the QR and this is a very privacy invasive process as we can't order without providing a phone number. Some random third party application gets all access to our names and phone numbers and we have no way to bypass that. I wanted to walk away at this point but didn't want to ruin the only chance we had to go out after a while and I eat only one meal a day so was not worth ruining it.

We placed the order of 4 items, 2 dishes for us, one for your dog and one hot chocolate. All were placed together. While the 3 items came, the chicken steak with mushroom did not. We assumed it's a slight delay in the order and kept waiting. After 40 minutes, my wife had finished the meal and still no sign of the steak. We were waiting for a waiter to come to ask all this while but no one came. I gave up and went to the main counter to ask and found that dish was not ready yet. Had to cancel and go out without a meal. Was a really frustrating experience and there wasn't a sign of apology from the staff . With the new online system there are no vibes at all. Just a cold attitude.

Sorry to see such a good restaurant going this path. It's not a cheap place that you need to make the customer experience bad by invading their privacy and reducing staff.

Zoeys is one of the few pet friendly restaurants which also has great food. We tried the steak with mushroom sauce and sphegetti with meatballs along with hot chocolate.
