Adaminte Chayakada isn’t just about food; it’s about memories. Whether you’re a chai enthusiast, a food lover, or someone seeking solace, this little tea shop welcomes you with open arms. So, gather your thoughts, raise your cup, and let the flavors transport you to a simpler time—a time when tea was more than a beverage; it was a connection. Adaminte Chayakada’s Sulaimani tea is legendary. Served in small glass cups, this citrus-infused black tea is a symphony of tanginess and warmth. The fragrant cardamom and a hint of mint elevate it to a whole new level. Sip slowly, and let the flavors unfold—a perfect companion for conversations and contemplation. Adaminte Chayakada’s twist on the classic biryani is a revelation. Fragrant basmati rice, succulent chicken, and a medley of spices come together in a harmonious blend. The secret lies in the slow-cooked process—the flavors meld, creating a symphony of taste. Don’t forget to squeeze a lemon wedge over it for that extra zing. Nestled amidst the vibrant streets of Kottayam, Adaminte Chayakada is more than just a tea shop; it’s an experience that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the heart. Here, the aroma of freshly brewed tea mingles with the laughter of patrons, creating an ambiance that feels like a comforting hug.

This place was already popular from their successful outlet in Cochin. We were kind of skeptical to go in and try the food. But to our surprise the food was very tasty, although a bit on the expensive part. They had lots of calicut varieties there with that authentic taste. The tea was also particularly good. They did try a lot to elevate the ambience by making it look like an old home from the suburban malabar from the 90s. And it worked to a great extend. We also liked the numerous photo booth kind of areas they have set up outside. Everything looked clean and the staff was very helpful. Now to the not so great part. Don't know if they intentionally made the chair look old, but the fabric chair kind of gives a dirty look with liquid stains on the seat which makes it a little uncomfortable at first site especially during this covid era. When we went there the second time around, almost all the tables had dirty plates and the cleaners were no where at sight, however the waiters were all gathered and sitting at one corner. It took a good 10 mins before someone showed up to clean our table. These are minor gripes and nothing thats gonna keep us from going there coz like I said... awesome food and friendly staff!

I visited this restaurant on 4/05/2023, and after 4 days still I can't forget the floor manager's worst behaviour. His behaviour spoiled my whole week's mood. When I reached there, the floor manager guided me to sit at a table which was vacant. But those who were actually sitting at that table went to the washroom after their meals and they have already ordered desserts which are yet to come on that table. So I decided to move to the next table which was vacant. Suddenly the same guy (floor manager) came and told me that you are not allowed to sit here (very rudely) and told me to wait outside. A family of 4 people was coming to sit there, they could have been guided to sit at 6 seat table . Also that floor manager doesn't allow me to sit anywhere in that restaurant and compelled me to wait outside. There were many 6 seat tables that were free and only a 4 seat table was available. Since we were only 2, I was trying to sit at a 4 seat table , Even if there were plenty of empty tables he literally doesn't allow me to sit anywhere. He, humiliated us in front of that many people. I live in Calicut and there are many outlets of 'Adaminte Chayakkada ' & I had a good experience with their service whenever I visited. This is the worst of any restaurant I have visited my entire life. After such disgraceful behaviour from the restaurant staff I walked out and had a good lunch from the near by restaurant which was delicious and they have a good customer service. I recommend a restaurant called 'THEKKAN THAWA' near to Hyson Jeep, they served food in less time and I was completely satisfied because that insult from Adaminte Chayakkada made me so uncomfortable. After 4 days I can't even forget that behaviour from a reputed restaurant. Don't ever choose this restaurant, I have read many reviews about this restaurant later. Then I realised it's not only me, many others had this worse experience from there. Staff should be trained and teach them what is hospitality and how customers should be treated. Or atleast don't harm anyone's mind. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone , please avoid this particular restaurant even if you starve to death.

Let me start by saying the food was reasonably good but nothing upto the hype. Secondly, i have visited their outlet in Kozhikode which was truly a pleasant experience. However, Kottayam was a disappointment. The service was terrible. It was a busy day, they gave me a 8 seater table for 3 of us and asked us to sit on one side of the table so that they can accomodate others when they come. The worst was yet to come, we couldn't find our order taker for 45 mins, then he came to the table to tell us that they didnt have any of the items we wanted to order from their menu. So we ended up with Al Fahim, kizhi beef parotta, chicken fried rice and a buttered pepper prawns. The kizhi parotta looked like pothi parotta didn't find it cooked in a kizhi. May be the order was taken wrong, but I couldn't be bothered by then. Suddenly I realised that the jug of water on my table went missing, for which I had to beg. I wanted an extra khuboos for the alfahm, the order taker wasn't too pleased I asked only for 01, he gave me a look and dismissively said i will arrange someone to get you one. Then we ordered a butterscotch ice cream, a butterscotch milkshake with ice cream and brownie with icecream. We received 2 butterscotch shake with ice cream and a brownie with ice cream. It's either me or the restaurants I go to, people just don't take their orders properly. They are just too busy to be bothered about the customer. The only person who did his job with sincerity and passion was the parking attendant. He was cordial, helped me park my car properly, opened the door for me and gave me good bye salute with a smile. He was a relief from that mad house.

Adaminte Chayakkada. We have spoken very positively about this restaurant many times on this platform. But not this time. We went there a few days ago to eat food. Every time we try Irachi Choru and Kizhi Pathiri, that was our favourite dish over there. So we ordered Kizhi Pathiri without making a mistake and also bought Vegetable Fried Rice and Kottayam Special Beef Fry along with lemon tea. The lemon tea that was first brought to the table could not be drunk because of the sourness. Unlike the usual taste, kizhi pattiri was inedible and dry. The beef felt dry. Also, the item called Kottayam Special Beef Fry had no quantity and quality in terms of its price. Overall what seemed to be the best was the vegetable fried rice. We were disappointed for the first time. The attitude of someone like Supervisor there was not so pleasant. He had the same attitude as the headmaster of some LP schools and did not feel fit for a place like this. Even after saying all this at the counter, the people there took it very lightly. This is a very good restaurant. Hopefully, they will resolve these issues and go back to the old way. @adaminte_chayakada #food #keralafood #keralastreetfood #kottayam #kottayamrestaurent #adamintechayakada #adamintechayakadakottayam #foodvlog #keralatourisam #entekottayam #kottayamdiaries #kottayamreels

A restaurant which brings a malabar touch in food as well as in the whole decorations in the restraunt. The ambience here is very good. One of the best restraunts in kottayam. I had a biriyani from here. All the biriyani items tasts good. All the staffs are well behaved. The quality of food is good but the price is a bit hight. Make this a good google review I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say, it's a delightful place that beautifully captures the essence of Malabar in both its cuisine and decor. The ambiance is truly outstanding, making it one of the finest dining spots in Kottayam. I had the pleasure of savoring their biriyani, and it was a real treat. The biriyani menu offers a variety of delicious options, all of which tasted fantastic. The staff here are not only attentive but also well-mannered, adding to the overall positive experience. The food quality is top-notch, although it's worth noting that the prices are on the higher side. Nevertheless, the overall experience more than makes up for it. If you're looking for an authentic taste of Malabar and a wonderful dining atmosphere, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
