Been waiting for this place to open..had heard about the beef ribs there from a friend and wanted to try it out Massive restaurant..so don't think you will ever have to wait for a table there.. Restaurant air conditioning is not great..something they might need to look into before the summer We started with the chicken broth soup..was not great.. Had beef ribs and an Arabic kebab as starters..loved the ribs..with the meat falling of the bone..lot of deep fried garlic with the sauce..kebab was so-so..could be better For mains we had a flavoured mutton arabic rice which was served in a dough sealed container..forgot the name of the dish..all.of us liked it..mildly spiced with a subtle flavour We ordered kunafa and sitafal shake as dessert..both were disasters...cheese in kunafa had gone bad and when we pointed it out to the server he took it back to the kitchen and came back saying that's how the dish is..we didn't want to argue, but told him that we had had it before and that's not how it tastes...though you don't really need to have tasted it before to know when something has gone bad..this is the main reason for the low rating.. sitafal was bitter..tasted like they had put in some skin as well.. When the bill was presented the waiter pointed out that they had taken off the kunafa..as if they were doing us a favour..service definitely needs to improve.. Most of the food was good..but serving spoilt food is a strict no no..but will give them the benefit of the doubt since they have just opened at this location..so definitely done teething issues will be there Third visit Tried the mutton Rann ,akdemiz solatasi(salad with lettuce and other leaves with feta cheese) and mutton broth soup We ordered mutton broth soup without realising it's a Chinese soup..the salt in the soup almost made it inedible Salad was pretty good..fresh crisp lettuce ,celery and some chopped up pistachios.. Mutton Rann didn't have any seasoning at all..almost like the chef used up all the salt for the soup and decided not to use salt in the main course...the masala lacks any flavour..only pro is that the meat was soft and tender..cooked well..so sticking to the 2* rating Visited couple more times Don't think the rating...
Read moreI had been there a couple of times actually and always wondered why this place is all hyped up. Unfortunately this time when I went it was packed and had to wait to get seated. Once we got seated, we ordered food and then started the waiting game. I knew it before it had an extended waiting time in its normal times and was expecting more and they didn't surprise me as it took close to 45 minutes of sitting there waiting for food. Hoping for the food to be good this time. As expected, firstly we ordered an Istambul kebab, and we got some cheese filled stuff, which they said was kebab and said some name and we could care any less as it tasted like chicken roll without the crispy part. But it was good for a starter. Then after, few 5-10 minutes later they brought the food. The chicken noodles and rice was a decent one. Then came the beef kapama which has a great presentation and service but taste wise you could only if you are starving cause u would surely have to drink some salted hot water to compensate for the lack of salt and undercooked rice. Sorry, I cannot comment on the chicken ghee roast cause it was sent back right away as it was filled with burnt chicken pieces.
We actually wanted to try their famous Kunafa, however we didn't have the guts to have anything else there, and wanted to move out.
Also sorry for not posting any pictures for...
Read moreLunch platter is a blunder and waste of money!! I visited this restaurant with my family on 15/12/24 for lunch. We asked for meals and the staff informed us that meals are available with lunch platter only and it will be enough for 4 people and extra plain rice if needed will be provided. The waiter told that this platter includes 2 bowls of plain rice, one fish curry and 3 other fish roast/fry dishes. We ordered the same and we were provide with low cost river fishes of below average size. We asked for extra rice and 2 bowls of plain rice was provided. They charged Rs 2500 for this platter which was just average. Moreover, for the extra rice they charged us Rs 220(Rs 110 per plate). Charging for plain rice that too in a high cost platter like this is embarassing. If they charged us Rs 2500 for this platter, they could have atleast provided some quality fishes like prawns or neymeen atleast. Instead they cheated us with some low quality local river fish and charged this much along with charging for extra plain rice. We paid around Rs 3000 at this restaurant. This is a daylight robbery from their side. We never wanted to create a scene at the restaurant, so we had not questioned them regarding the bill. But this not acceptable and we plan on to file a case in the consumer court for the same. No one should get...
