EDITED REVIEW (3 Stars) * Have been visiting many time in a month and what came to my attention is that, the taste of the food varies each time. Sometimes it is getting bad. Though when reported, the servers were kind enough to replace it. But the reason why I changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars is because of how the male manager (with darker complexion wearing a blue shirt) is. They once gave a feedback form requesting to fill up my feedback and I clearly mentioned that this guy needs to improve the way he behaves. A pleasant feeling from the server or manager would always give the customers a better feeling and makes us visit again. Even after giving the feedback, there was no sign of improvements. And if we calls them requesting for their assistance in our table, this guy will nod like "what is it?" without even coming to our table. It is like I feel disrespectful. Am I supposed to go to them to say what I need to say? Hope you would take this in a positive sense and do the needful in improving your service.
ORIGINAL REVIEW (5 Stars) * A hidden gem indeed! The usual veg restaurants that I visited so far are those deliver oily/greasy food items at an exorbitant price. Even though I have seen this restaurant many times in my day to day journey, never had a chance to visit. But believe me, they are the best in veg so far.
Decided to last week and then continuously visited for more than 5 times till date. They have everything in medium. Just the right quantity in terms of sugar, taste, quality, etc.
I loved their Kothu Parotta and Cold Coffee. My brother loved their Masala Dosa. We even tried couple of other things and I can't remember. Each of them tasted well(so far).
One day there was no Cold Coffee and I decided to go with Lime Juice. Even though there was no ice in it(they didn't had it at that time, maybe because of technical issues), it tasted superb. Their Parotta set has big Parottas.
They have nice and clean wash rooms, good hospitality, the security who greets us with smile, the servers who behaves great, air conditioned room with good space between tables, etc. Everything feels great.
There would be a bit of waiting time. Just keep in mind. So if you are in a hurry and wants to eat something, then avoid this restaurant. I believe the waiting time is because they prepare everything after order. That's something great. One day, at around 9pm or something, when we had the food, we went for another round of Vada with chutney(one of the best). And when asked for some more chutney they took a bit of time and I believe they made the chutney again from scratch unlike other restaurants that prepares the chutneys once and server it even if it smells foul!
I don't know whether they add anything else for the taste. But almost every items we tried so far tasted superb. If there are 4 people of you who goes for the dine in, expect the cost of food to be falling between Rs. 700 and Rs. 1500, but it depends on the items you order.
Will definitely visit there...
Read moreMy recent visit to Annabhavan Veg Restaurant was unfortunately a disappointing experience. Despite expecting a lower-than-usual crowd, the restaurant's decision to operate with minimal staff proved insufficient, leading to long wait times and a lack of attentive service. Additionally, ongoing maintenance work, including noisy drilling and strong paint fumes, significantly disrupted the dining atmosphere. The unclean bathrooms, lack of a designated kids' play area, and wet varnish on bathroom doors without warning signs further detracted from the experience. While certain dishes like Kerala Parotta and Tandoori Roti were commendable, the overall food quality was inconsistent. The Paneer Masala gravy was particularly disappointing, consisting of diced onions and cubes of paneer in a watery, chili-flavored liquid that lacked the desired thickness and richness of a traditional gravy. Tasteless Veg Kuruma and uninspiring sides further contributed to the underwhelming meal. It appears that the management may have underestimated demand or prioritised cost-cutting over customer satisfaction. To improve the situation, Annabhavan should address staffing shortages, complete maintenance work promptly, and ensure consistent food quality. While the price-to-food ratio is generally reasonable, the recent experience was a significant departure from previous visits. I have been a regular customer of Annabhavan for many years, and I hope that these issues can be resolved to restore the...
Read moreFood is good but the service that we get from here is the worst. They don't even care about the customer satisfaction, they make customer to wait like half an hour to deliver food on table. I really had a bad experience from this restaurant 3 months back. On my way to city from my home me and my wife reached here around 12:50pm and ordered food before 1pm. There was two guys to collect order and cash from the customer. They brought us the lime soda after 15mins and we asked them about food and said will serve soon. The lime soda was just like lime juice, not even carbonated. After that we waited for another 15mins and again we asked and the reply was the same. So we left our table and went to cash counter and paid for what we ordered. I paid cash to the guy who took my order and he didn't even asked whether the food is delivered or to wait for food. He just took the cash as usual and I didn't took change from him. I think these kind of incidents are regularly happening from there that's why they are not at all bothered about how customer feels. On the same day I reported my complaint to one of there manager in Ayurveda college junction branch and didn't even received any followup calls. As I said before these guys didn't even care about their customers. This veg restaurant was one of my first choice while I travels in that route. I will never go to this restaurant and any of there restaurant chain and there catering services just because of...
