Nestled near the scenic expanse of Wilton, Lakkidi, we stumbled upon a gem of a breakfast spot: a hygienic and strictly pure vegetarian restaurant that exceeded all expectations. The commitment to cleanliness was immediately apparent, creating a sense of reassurance as we prepared to enjoy our meal. The restaurant itself is charmingly small and tidy, fostering an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Due to its popularity, it offers limited seating, which adds to the exclusive feel. However, for those who prefer the fresh air of the Kerala mornings, there is also the option of pleasant outside seating.
The dining experience here is facilitated by a streamlined self-service system, allowing for quick and efficient ordering. We began with the Ghee Roast, and it arrived in all its golden, crispy glory. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, a testament to the chef's expertise. Following this, the Podi Thattu Idly proved to be a revelation. The idlis were incredibly soft and fluffy, generously coated with a perfectly balanced podi spice mix that danced on the palate.
Complementing these stars of the show were the impeccably fresh chutneys and sambar. Each condiment was a symphony of flavors, enhancing the overall experience and showcasing the restaurant's dedication to quality ingredients. Beyond the exceptional food, the service was truly remarkable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Their genuine hospitality left a lasting impression.

Read moreThe place is quite small with hardly four tables (with chairs) and few more (without).
A Karnataka style pure-vegetarian restaurant, the first thing that strikes you is the hygiene - everything is maintained neat and clean. You have a good view of the kitchen and you can clearly see that it's hygienic too!
Coming to food, we had Lemon Tea (very very good), Tea (it was fine) and Coffee (don't! Avoid ordering this. Though it's supposedly 'filter coffee', it's nowhere close to being coffee).
On another day, we had a late lunch comprising of:
Veg Fried Rice - although bland, this was good. I would have preferred a bit more spicy fried rice. Suggestion: Please ask for it.
Chilli Paneer - Very good. The paneer was succulent and the spice level was perfect!
Open Butter Masala Dosa - again, very good with ample podi, masala and butter on top! Lip smacking.
Kesari Bath - That day, it was made with Pineapple. I am not a fan so can't comment truthfully. But my friends enjoyed it.
Had asked for buttermilk but they didn't have it in the menu!! So went for the second best option, salt-lassi - this was really good.
It's a self service outlet and items are prepared real quick. But since seating is extremely limited, you might have to stand and have food, unless you are lucky.
Beware the prices are high. Average spend per person - ₹...
