Arabikkadal — Restaurant in Kerala

We had a wonderful lunch experience at Arabikadal Restaurant with our family of 8 adults and 3 kids. We started with their traditional rice meals, which were fresh and satisfying. What followed was an impressive seafood spread that truly stole the show. Every dish was bursting with authentic coastal flavors that reminded us of home-cooked meals by the sea.

Highly recommended dishes include the octopus roast, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the karimeen pollichathu, a true Kerala classic that was grilled to perfection. The chemballi fry and kalanchi fry were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. We also loved the crab roast, as well as both the prawns fry and prawns roast—all seasoned beautifully with aromatic spices.

One of the worst experiences I had recently (openly conveyed the same with the cashier/manager after paying the bill). This is the third time I'm having my lunch from the same restaurant. The last two time I could see a drastic decline in the food quality. This time it was the worst.!!!

The meals was average. We ordered 1 Neymeen (seer fish) fry, 1 Chala Fry and a Kozhuva. The first two were too fried and tasted like some no veg crispy chips. It was one of the rare occassion when I wasted a fish fry. I'm too disappointed with the way they treated the food.

Pathetic!!!

There were a few people smoking besides the dining area the whole are was full of smoke.

"Biggest letdown ever! I visited this seafood spot in Kochi after hearing rave reviews from a popular vlogger who swore it was one of the best in town. Unfortunately, the hype was far from reality. The rice and curries were just average, and the complimentary meen curry was a joke - it couldn't even compare to what you'd find at a regular eatery. The neymeen fry I ordered was a disaster - stale, tasteless, and felt like frozen fish. To top it off, the service was abysmal. The cashier and waiters had an air of arrogance that was off-putting, and I had to ask multiple times for a simple curry refill. Needless to say, I won't be returning...
